Got a call today on my cell phone from these ppl and they left a message, all it says is my name (which i never use my real name unless its for a job) and told me to call them back. It was also recieved as unknown, so i didn't answer. The person sounded like some black dude with a raspy voice.

Its a debt collection company, usually associated with utilities. In my case, they told me it was for a DWP bill I was unaware of. I called DWP to make sure and they confirmed that this is a legit collections company, but I paid DWP directly instead and they notified the collections company to stop calling me (a much better option). My advice, pay your bills and they won't call. But, if they do call, always make sure to verify that the company with your info is legit before you pay them anything.

I've blocked their number through my Verizon service. I only have that one line and don't need my minutes wasted by these truants. My credit is flawless, I am employed, and don't really care if the person calling is on freaking fire if they can't be bothered leaving a message at least. Act like a delinquent, you'll likely be treated as one.

I have had multiple calls from this number. They leave a message about my "debt", which I do not have, apart from monthly services & billings, which are paid by return mail. The tel. # iis that of Caine & Weiner. They have called over the past 5 years when I moved my residence, but none in several  months until Oct  21. 2011.  I do not reply to them.

Called me yesterday at 1:30. Let it go to voicemail like all numbers I don't recognize.

I got a call from 818-251-9361 and the person just left her name, and not even where she was from or what this was concerning...

I keep getting after-hours calls from them on my work phone; they never leave a message.  

I have filed a complaint with the FCC today.

If you paid your bills Caine and Wiener wouldn't be calling you in the 1st place. Just because you have 1 bad experience with a bill collector don't mean there all like that. I highly doubt they called you that and if they did then it would be breaking the law.

Another bottom-feeding collection agency attempting to collection outdated debt. Multiple calls using robocaller, hides behind blocked caller ID, which does not provide company name AS REQUIRED BY LAW, Mr. Greg A. Cohen:

Shows what you know. debt collection companies have made millions if not billions by scaring people into thinking they owe money they don't.  They aren't breaking the law to call you. They break the law in the way they handle it.

Maybe you should get off your high horse, drop the caps lock and learn to spell.

I find this to be a total lie! My daughter went a college that you repersent, she left befor drop date. The college still charged her, she doesn't owe them ! Now they are being investagated by the state of Iowa and you still call her and threaten her every day. Isn't it bad enough that the college is trying to ruin her chances of returning to school with out people like your company threatening her. I mean threats!!!

these people have been calling my family trying to get money for one of my old ( 1996) hospital bill $37.08 dollars. messing with your family is wrong. besides the hopital in question is closed. i live in and have been in oregon for 12 years. my fam lives cleveland ohio. now they start calling 16 years later. EVERYONES LIFE IS JUST A MOUSE CLICK AWAY

You should find out your state's statute of limitation on debt collection. Some states are 3 years, others are 6. 16 years is very long, I bet your SOL is up and legally cannot collect the debt.

I agree,i have been having these people call me too ,they do not even know my name,Ive had 2 credit reports this year FROM ALL 3 AGENCYS ,0 ZIP NOTHING.I think they are trying to harass me for info on someone else,all they are going  to make me do is tell them they are being recorded and do it,Those fools will be paying me money.besides me paying my bills 2weeks early for 20yrs. they are completely across the country,and never lived anywhere else.AND I DO LOVE MONEY !TAPE IT TELL THEM I AM ARE DOING  IT AND THEN SNAP A PIC ON MY IPHONE ,AND DROP IT IN YOUR COMPUTER,THAT IS LEGAL TO DO IN MY STATE,A LAWYER TOLD ME THAT ONE ,WE ALL KNOW LAWYERS LOVE MONEY TOO.HA HA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
