Received a call. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. They never do.

Scam. Said it Bob Smith and did work for our neighbors. Didn't identify what kind of work. Wanted to identify address.

Phone rings, but no one's there.

The cid showed "unknown name" and phone number 818-273-6602.  Left no message.  Blocked.

Hide yer money!

Called me today at 12 noon.  No message left.  Blocked!

Received a call from a man who identified himself as Jeff. Went on explaining about this wonderful conversation we had back in January about work being done on my house which I wasn't ready for in January. I assured him of the fact that since I sold my house 3 years ago this month and am now a renter, no such call ever took place. He hung up !!

Sounds like "the Home Center" scam; they keep changing phone numbers (company and personal names) to try sneak one passed you. We screen all calls and block all annoying ones who leave their deceptive messages (very few) or
who don't leave any message (most callers). By using this strategy calls like this have dropped over 90% in two years.
Then again there are automatic blocking devices you could try. We use a Panasonic portable phone with (manual) call blocking.

Spoofed junk call, and spoofed call = scam.  Didn't answer (I never answer calls from unfamiliar numbers).  Blocked this number.

AT 12:55pm got another call from 818 883-0413 - probably the same CRIMINALS.

We did not answer as number was not one we recognized.  Caller ID said "Sunland CA."

Guy called saying we had talked a year ago and I mentioned I might want bathroom repair the following year.  I remembered that call.  He was following up and told me my address and home phone number, which I confirmed.  I told him I was contemplating backyard hardscape.  He said they can give me a free estimate and they can come in two hours.  I agreed.  He said the office will call me in 15 minutes to confirm, which they did.  They said they will call me before they show up.  Needless to say, they never showed up.  When  I called the number I got a recording saying that the number can't be reached as dialed.

Got a call from this number 818-273-6602 from Sunland, CA. Caller left the following message on my answering machine:
"Hello Hello... Hello Hello...Hello Hello... Hello Hello" and then hung up.

I don't understand why they would do this. What is the scam? Just to get your address - which they already had. Maybe to find out when you are home? I got a call from same number and they left a strange message (see below under Gwen)
Probably trying to find out if anyone is home. Definitely block this one.

caller identified himself as Kevin Gold. Was rude, argumentative and confrontational.

10:23 AM - didn't pick up, no message left.

Caller ID = California Call (all caps)

Some old lady called from this number we told her no thanks and hung up.  One minute later she called back and said they would keep calling since we were such an "Ass".

818.273.6602..,Called @ 12:59pm and when I answered, they hung up.  I called back, with the a/c of 818. It was a disconnected number.
