Tell your daughter not to worry.  I have been called by the same people and they got my number from a payday loan company.  They call and act like they represent the company and really they are trying to get you to pay them.  The only information they have is that I got a payday loan.  They act like I can be prosecuted for not paying and I cant.  They told me 2 months ago that it would be the last call I would get before a warrant was issued on me.  Needless to say I have gotten 15 more calls saying the same thing.  These people are trying to scam people out of money by scaring them.  Imagine how many people pay them not knowing it is a scam.  This is how these people make a living.

I have received the same calls.  About 3-4! I called my friend (who is a lawyer) and he called them.  Once he told them he was calling on my behave....they hung up on him! He called right back and they kept hanging up so it's a scam.  No need to worry! I have an andriod phone and have downloaded an app that will block them from calling.

got threatening phone from this number stating that they paperwork 45 days ago. phone number i am to call back is 818-275-1187. stating that they are going to fill out papers and get me arrested. the first time they contacted it was from American Legal services. when i checked out american legal service they have on their website that there is a off shore scam. i filed complaint with the ftc. nothing happened after that phone call. so i disregarded this. then today got phone call from guy with foreign accent stating that he wants my attorney to contact this number. I googled this number and got this posting page.

I recieved a call from a man and they threatened that they were gonna come to my house, and my job they wanted  me to have my  my attorneys contact them or I was going to jail. I feel very threatened and I want answers.

I just got a called from this number from a man with a strong Indian Accent saying his name was Mike Jones. LOL then he told me I had a lawsuit and that I had to call back the same number 818-275-1187 to speak with a Carl Cooper. I called back and I got one beep I didnt even get a ring or a person that answered the phone. I called back several times and same one beep with no answer. When I asked what company he was from he said something of that Federal Financial Crime stuff. I googled the number as soon as I realized this was definitely a scam, what in the hell or who in the hell would be suing me ?!?!? How do we report these people and get THEM criminally investigated?

Wow I just had the same thing happen! Scumbags! I contacted the police and had them call. Thick Indian accent who called himself Scott Williams.

The very first call I got from them the guy called my mom a [***] and threatened to call my job 4000 times a day I said dude you don't have any sort of lawsuit against me and tht this is all bs he got mad and hung up. And now I've been getting calls for about 2 months from that guy its really pissing me off I don't kno what I can do about it because I've informed them of the laws they are breaking by calling and pretending to be a law firm and threatening to arrest people.

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME.  EXACTLY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS MENTIONED.  THIS STARTED LAST YEAR AND THEN QUIT FOR A WHILE.  NOW IT IS STARTING UP AGAIN.  YOU TURN IT OVER TO THE ATTY GENERAL OFFICE AND GUESS IT GOES ON THE LIST.  NOTHING EVER COMES OF IT. YOU CAN GET UPSET WITH THEM BUT IT DOES NOT PHASE THEM.  I AM GLAD THAT THEY HAVE TO LIVE WITH THEMSELVES.
