I just got the same call. I'll bet that it is a Skype call from overseas routing through California. Absolutely a scam!

Received a call from "Direct Express" claiming my Mastercard had been compromised.  Selected 1 it asked for my Credit card number.  I punched in bogus numbers.  It would tell me to put it in more carefully.  Until it hung up on me

Received automated message from Direct Express saying my Master Card information needed to be updated.  Called my mobile.

Asked me to update my AmEx. Called AmEx and no issues. SCAM!

Remove my number from this caller list. I don't have a master care.

Name of company was not given.

I got the MasterCard scam phone call as well. This needs to be reported to the authorities.

Same as others. Pressed one and nothing happend, tried calling back and I just got a busy signal. Called my bank and no issues or record of them calling me. Its a scam!

Received the same message and I called both Mastercard accts to confirm that they DID NOT call me!  SCAM

Direct Express is legit, but the 818-301-1298 (no business #) caller is trying to pass themselves off as an Agent of Direct Express.  Called Direct Express toll free number and a Representative said that they would never call any random phone number to solicit new customers nor ask for your full 16 digit Master Card Number.  Do not give out your debit MasterCard number if you answer a call as such.  If you do own a Direct Express card of any type, call their toll free number immediately to report the caller.

The voice that is used in the recording is from a you tube video creator. Someone typed in the script and has used it as an outgoing message.

Got the Same Phone Call:  Direct Express

called May 29, 2012 6:05pm EDT. Verizon iPhone CallerID says "Northern Los Angeles Area"
I sent it to voice mail.
I got same message as others have reported here in the last couple days (Direct Express,  press 1 to update MasterCard)

That company is in Texas.  The call came from the northern Los Angeles area.

Had the same voicemail message to my cell phone as noted above from Direct Express..pressed 1 nothing happened...........I deleted it

total scam-same message about updating my mastercard. I don't own a mastercard.

Got a phone call, let it go to voicemail, they didn't leave a voicemail. I called back and they asked if I had an account with them, I asked where the call was from, he said International something, I couldn't understand what else he said. He asked if I wanted to set up an account with them, I said no and hung up.

It's not 1298 it;s 818-301-4948  call and hang up say nothing  there idiots
