I think its US Legal, they threatened to file fraud charges vs myself

Yea i bitched the crap out of them stating i had never heard of such a thing and I TRUELY believe it is a scam!

If you get a call from this number, stating that you are in some kind of trouble or they are filing some kind of charges against you- this is a SCAM!!! They usually have foreign accents and use american sounding names (like they sound like they are in bombey but the name might be "Brad Smith", etc) and they say that they are from some kind of law firm- the most common one they use is "LLC Law Firm". They will "read" you an official sounding "affidavit" or sometimes a summons, stating that you are being charged with "the following crimes". usually involving borrowing money or writing a check and something being fraudulent. they will often state that the references you put on a loan application will be contacted and may even say they will be arrested as well. They sound very convincing and official, and they have a SCARY amount of personal information on you (they have generally gotten your info from a credit or payday loan site they have hacked or been fed info from, or sometimes they set up a dummy payday loan site so that you feed your info directly to them). Ask them for your original loan amount, or even better ask them for the date that funds were distributed so you can check it against your bank records. HOW COULD THEY FILE CHARGES AGAINST YOU FOR A CRIME THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE DATE FOR WHEN IT WAS COMMITTED? It is scary and they are very convincing but it is a scam. Don't send them any money or info.

Voicemail was left from "Amazon Customer Support" that there was a problem and I needed to press 1 to speak with someone. I don't have an Amazon account, so they have no reason to be contacting me.
