Calls once a day. When you call back, it is busy

It's some bill collector? They told me they had a lawsuit against me? I called the county and they ha no clue to what I was talking about. Futhermore the bill the were trying to sue me over is 16 years old and waswrote off? They threatened me and lied! Beware, I'm turning all their information over to the BBB and the prosecuting attorney for the county since they are running their mouths! Shady.

I received many calls from these people. My roommate answered it once and they asked if someone would be home so the sheriffs' office could serve papers on me. They called 4 days later and I answered the phone. They said I would have a deputy at my door within the hour. I responded with" I waited on them last time and they never showed. I said that they should call 1st as I will put the dogs away so they can enter the property. I further indicated that the county, state, and federal government showed nothing outstanding on me. I suggested they process this claim as I am sure time is running out." They responded with " we are trying to prevent this from happening to you". I then stated that they had "plenty to worry about other than little ol' me."
and that since I my paperwork was going out to be processed TODAY, that they would not need to call me anymore. They said they might call daily. I said " your work is done here, you should find another poor soul who needs your super power type kindness." They then said I didn't seemed worried. I responded with." your a 3rd party collection agency #1, you purchase debts that are outside of the statute of limitations#2, and that no one ever calls the party to whom they are serving#3. and finally they are breaking about 5 different laws according to the FDCPA. ( fair debt collection practices act.) I advised them to look out their window the next patrol car they see might be for them.. they H/U

I receive a call every day from this number.  I have repeatedly told them I'm not the person they are looking for but they continue to call looking for the same person and that they want to know if someone will be home to receive papers from the Sheriffs Dept.

caller id shows up as "pacific process".   voice mail with stupid girls talking and laughing in the background, but never leave a message. they call all the time.  looking for someone that has the same last name as me, but no other connections to me at all.  getting desperate I guess.  calling everyone in the phone book with my name.

This firm apparently under a lot scrutiny. Employees very guarded. They hang up on me when I asked questions and now hang up when I call. They got my identity mixed up with someone else and now don't want to admit it.

Gross negligence.

Don't know if they are legitimately trying to collect debts or just collecting data.  They are way too guarded.

I am very familiar with the FDCPA and just received a call with caller id 818 638 5252. A man asked if "someone would be available for a sheriff's warrant and court order for a summons" for someone with a SIMILIAR last name...I advised them that they had the wrong number but because I KNOW they are breaking numerous laws by claiming to be a law enforcement agency and therefore harassing and misleading...I asked what company they were representing. The caller said "Pacific Processing" and hung up when I questioned the location of the company. Upon calling back the number, it rings and then goes to a busy signal. They are one of the reasons collections have such a bad/poor rep.

Someone called today and left the  message 'hello' and hung up. This is a scam that has been going on for a while. Per the other posts, they call to warn you. NO SHERRIF DEPARTMENT OR ANY OTHER SERVING PARTY IN A LAW SUIT WOULD CALL TO WARN ANYONE. They are bottom feeders trying to scam anyone on thier phone list. The same type of scam comes from other numbers too.
