These scammers have called 10 times in about as many minutes trying to be transferred to "IT" or "Help Desk." When pressed for a reason for the call, they claim to have "important information" from IBM. Seems legit.

Just got a call from this number at my office phone.  I am IT, but I never answer calls when I do not recognize the number.  After reading these, I am glad that I DIDN'T answer it! :-)  Need call blocking on these Cisco VOIP phones!  Cisco, take the hint!

They call asking for an Employee by name, who does not take calls from unknowns, when asked to leave a message they just say they will try again another time.  This is the 3rd call in 3 days.

After answering a business line, some guy starts asking barely intelligible questions about where we are located and for someone in the IT department. Refuses to identify himself or the calling company and then hangs up.

Gotta be some kind of scam.

It is not legit.

Received one call asking to speak with someone in our company who is the head of Financial Services. When I explained she was in a meeting, he asked to speak with someone else who handles sales tax. I told the caller there was no one else he could speak to. He said he would call back.
Then -- 5 minutes later, I received another call from this #. This time asking to speak with someone in our IT department.

Cant figure out what this company is or why they are calling!

Keep them on the phone  for as long as possible , messes up their SCAM sales quotas

I received a call today from this number, and like other commenters noted, this is definitely a call center.  There was a significant amount of background noise on the line (in the voicemail), and the person calling sounded like they were typing on a keyboard for about 20 seconds, then the person started laughing and made a comment like "Ah, this is funny", then the person hung up.

Some person trying to help me me be part of some sort of profenssional group.  Even was asking if we would be replacing the phone system

They call my work number every few days.  They always ask for a guy who hasn't worked here for 6 years.  I tell them they have the wrong number and they thank me and hang up.  I don't know why they keep calling, asking for the same guy... it's like they think that they'll actually reach him if they call asking for him frequently enough?   I finally put a block on my phone to keep them from calling.

I have been getting these calls fro a few weeks, but I never answered. I did today. I didn't catch the guys name, but he said he was with CTO Advise and that he had my name and email, which he did. I asked what this was about and he said he had something he wanted to email me about an IT topic. When I interrupted him and said I wasn't in IT, he hung up on me before I could even get the whole sentence out! How rude!

I actually work for IBM.  We are getting these calls constantly.  They have absolutely Nothing to do with IBM.

If they are scammers then it cannot be legit...

Some how they even knew where I worked, at that point I told them this was a business line and I needed to hang up. Their response was I know this is a business line... ??? Creepy.

I receive calls daily from this number.  At first, call were from people with very heavy accents.  I could never understand what they were saying and told them to stop calling and bugging me.  Now they have folks here in America calling me several times per day.  I told them that I will NEVER put them through to IT yet they STILL CALL!!!!  I work in the music industry so there is always loud music playing.  Now when the call I just put them on speaker and leave them there until they have the good sense to hang up.  It seems to be working because they only call two times per day instead of every 15 minutes.

A man called my direct line in NYC asking for someone by name. I told him I didn't know who that was so he asked for me to transfer him to the IT department. I explained I wasn't a secretary & that the IT department didn't have a direct line, and he started yelling at me about how it was unbelievable that I worked at my company but wouldn't transfer him or give him the number. I finally told him I couldn't help him and I had spent too much time on this, and he hung up on me. Also, the man he was looking for works in the Legal department in Belgium.
