This is obviously a scam, what I am not seeing mentioned is that our names and info were harvested from somewhere that has our phone numbers, emails, work phone numbers, full names and sometimes our social security numbers. That is my major concern. What the hell company that takes social security numbers allowed their info to be available to a scammer?? If we can't do anything about the scam itself, we can sure do something about legitimate companies and their handling of our sensitive personal/financial information.

Got a call from this # phone service is so bad, the call kept fading out.  The call finally faded out, so don'tknow what they said.  SCAM!!!!!

Please find the attached documents before you get arrested. If you want to pay it back rather than going to the court then please call us back and make the payment by today itself.

  Ive gone threw lawyers before and never one revived and email like this. Last time they call i got a lady and it expelled to her, if im being sued dont you think id receive papers not an email. Telling me if i dont send them money ill go too jail. When i asked her to please send me the information she hung up on me. Plus the email was in my spam anyways.

I Received this call at my job all the time  is not nice because is cost me to many problems at my job .. my company said if this people  don't stop calling me I lost my job ...

Called this morning saying the same this as to the other people.

received the same call at work and home.  I also got an mail.  The person's name was Daniel Smith.  I have never used a payday loan service so I know it was a scam.  I also called Cash Advance to make sure someone had not taken a loan out in my name.  They has nothing under my name at all.

I got the same email warning letter message today from William Scott, Attorney General. The letter was ridulous; numerous grammatical errors, etc. They gave another phone number: 347-501-5849. So I called it; some guy answered the phone; didn't identify himself (neither did I). I said are you the Attorney General. He said yes. And I said, stop with these scam. Please be informed you will be reported to legitimate authorities and hung up. The so-called Affidavit said it was involving "Cash Advance usa" and there is a lawsuit filed against me as well as your social security number under section 9 chapter 19...of what? I'm sure I got this when I feel into the pit-hole of payday loans a couple of years ago. I got myself out the whole mess after learning PDLs are illegal in PA, etc. But, I guess these types of scam will dog me for the rest of my life......  

received two voicemail's from these people his name is jeffrey scott and he is from a law firm and this matter is time sensitive. they say please call them or have my attorney call them. if i was being sued i would receive papers in the mail or from a county sheriff that serves court papers.

I got an e-mail from this person. I have printed this out so if I decide to press charges I will have the letter.

Same email as everyone else except a guy named William Scott, Attorney General.

Just got a cal from 818-666-8077. He had a accent I could not understand him so I hung up on him hope he does not call back. Do not know what he wanted. Just hope he does not call again. Help!!

They want money.   Basically they will say you are charged with a crime and to get out of it, just send them money by an untraceable Green Dot money pak.  

Total Indian scammer.  If he or she calls back do not talk to them, other  than to tell them that this is a scam and you  know it.  

Do not give them any information.  

These people are hard-nosed Indian scammer/extortionists.

These calls are not random, they most likely have your financial information as well as some personal information.  They are predators who go after women, single mothers, the elderly and anyone else they think might be vulnerable for some reason.  

If you talk to them and they sense vulnerability they will hammer you with even more calls.  Like any criminal they also start talking in an abusive manner when they find out their scam isn't going to work.  

Just don't talk to them.  Or call them back.

Block their calls.

You can't press any charges.  These people are hard-core scammer/extortionists located in India.  As such they are beyond the reach of US law.

Call blocker is your best bet.

i to got the same email,i replied to them to have there supervisor get ahold of me as the state police would like to speak with them,waiting on there reply,how do these people get away with this?They left me this # to call but im not going to call.

This is a scam.  Do not fall for it, and tell these people off.

Got a call from this number. Identified herself as Megan Johnson for the IRS

Yep the are not in the US. Mine gave an American name and could not hardly speak English...

I just got a call from these guys, and it went to voicemail. Their English was so bad I could not understand half of it. But the gist is the same as in the reports above. I ignored it and blocked their number. I cannot imagine anyone actually calling them back.

I recieved a call from this number, and they stated I owe the Federal Government back taxes. An arrest warrant would be issued. I told them I would call my Attorney. They said have him call. This is a scare tactic by a bunch of non English Speaking Scam Artists. IRS doesn't work this way. I will now have this number blocked, and report to local authorities.
