Received call from guy who said his name was Christopher Martinez from US Customs.  Badge number N2229.  Accusatory and suspicious.  ???????  WEIRD.

received 2 calls from #, person would not answer when I said hello... called back couple of mins later voice message said "Youv'e reached Officer Christipher Martinez not at my desk leave phone # and message"

Threatened to search my house and have me arrested, and sent to Domican Republic for purchasing drugs on line. Officer Martinez Div 78 US Customs badge #33419.
Was referred to Manuel Molina. He said send a Western Union money order for $1,895 to 101 Nazaret St., Higuey, Domican Republic.
Later they would fax the release forms to me.

I have the same problem the same man called my house and said I will be arrested for buying on line perscription 4 years ago unless I wanted to enroll in the Defenders Release Program I coul pay $1,000 2 officers would come to my house that night and pick me up and take me to a disclosed area to pay for the program. I am reporting this to the US Fedaral goverment and the State Goverment. He had me so scared at one point then I realized it was a scame,I am still scared that someone may come to my house and home invade me. People are carzy. This ruined my week and I called in to work today and said I would not be in because of this. I encourage anyone that gets into contact with them to know IT IS A SCAM AND DON'T BE WORRIED OR SCARED. But please contact your local athouraties and help get them put into jail. Good Luck and REMEMBER IT IS A SCAM YOU CAN NOT BE PROSICUTED LIKE THAT. LAUGH AT HIM AND HANG UP.

I had the excat thing happen to me. I purchesed Phentermine on line over 5 years ago. The first guy to call me from Florida Officer Charles Cannon said he was on his way to court and he would see if he could get my name dropped because I did not know it was illeagal. He said I bought it 2 times and may be a seller of the drug. He had my Wachovia Visa number and read it to me.

Last night a Christopher Martinez called me from California and gave me a badge number of N2229 He said he realized I was a good person and I could enrol into a program called the Defenders Relase Program for $1,000. He said he would send 2 officers to my house that night and take me to a disclsed area to pay to enrol then I would not be in trouble. I know a Federal Prosecuter Atterney so I told Mr. Martinez that my friend would come with me. He said if I got anyone involved he would not offer me the program and he would have me arrested and taken to California where 85 other people where waiting to be expidited to the Deminiacan Republic and I could serve 24 years in jail.

My husband got mad after I was on the phone for over an hour that he finaly took the phone from me and hung it up. After talking to my friend he said no officer can ask for money and it was a scame. I realized that after one week of having to tell my work about it then today I am so scared, pissed off that I called into work today and my goal is to contact alll the people I can to try and get these 2 men stopped from duing this.

I talked to thisperson he say's he is an officer with boarder partrol and I was in trouble because over 5 years ago I ordered phentermine on line and it was illeagal. He told me there was a warrent for my arrest because the Dominican Republic wanted to prosecute me and I would be arrested and taken to California and then taken to the Dominican Republic. Then he said he wanted to help me and I could enrol in a defenders release program for $1,000. I needed to have the money today and I could not tell anyone or get a lawyer,.He said 2 men would come to my house and hand cuff me and take me away from my family.

Please know not to believe this man he is full of [***] and you should tell him that. Please let him know that we live in America where we do not operate like that. You have to be served papers then tried in your own country. He scared me so bad. I missed work this past Friday becasue he shattered my sanity. If you have the guts to go as far as to look like you might wire money to him maybe this will stop. Please DO NOT BELIEVE HIM. TELL HIM HE IS FULL OF [***] AND OUR FEDERAL GOVERMENT IS ON TO HIS SCAM. He probable lives in the Dominican Republic and has set up falsed #. I know a Federal agent who confirmed this that it is a scame.

I got the same call this Saturday May 21st 2011. This cad has something comming when he talks to me!

I just got off the phone with "Officer Martinez".  He had me going until the $5,000 went to $3,000, then to $1,500.  Then I went "Hello, hello, hello, damn......"  and then ignored the following 11 (?!?!?!?!?) calls!!  Feel ever so much better sfter googling his number.  What an ass!!  Just called him and told him to google his number - apparently he is sending his officers after me as we speak!!

Just informed the Customs Dept of this guy!!

Same story as above. I asked him if he knew what I did for a living. I said, "You know everything about me, you should know that." He said he had a headache and no time for this. I am so glad to find this site. The price for me was $2000.

Even when I told him I had reported him - he kept it up.  Glad at least you gave him a headache!!  Wonder how many people he's gotten money out of?

I just got a call from this charming individual. I have learned to google these creeps every time...this is their third attempt to extort money from me. For some reason these morons have my cell phone number and think I did something wrong. I just block their number so that I don't have to be bothered. I appreciate the phone number of the US Customs Service (listed above)...however, I just tried to call and I suppose they are inundated right now since these characters are so busy extorting money from good people that they can't keep up with the phone volume! Yikes. Anyway, I am posting this so that the US Customs folks can see the volume of attempts these guys are making on "the good citizens of the U.S."...PLEASE PROTECT US!!!! Thank you :-)

This guy is impersonating a US Customs Agent claiming to be conducting a criminal investigation. Obviously he is full of it. Thank heaven I googled him.

How do they know you bought the phentermine?  i also received such a call today.
