This is solicitation calling number. Do not answer. Add to your blocked list, or blacklist, on your cell phone..or they will continue to call you. The ability to report this is so useful, for all of us that do not want this kind of annoyance.

I received a VM from 818.756.7488.  The caller said he needed to follow up on a survey I'm scheduled for next week (5.2.17).  The number he asked me to call him back at was 866.566.5187.  I did, and answered his questions (nothing personal or intrusive).  I do survey's regularly and this one is supposed to pay $50 for 30 minutes (normal).  If I show up and it's a scam I'll be posting again!

It is a FRAUD SCAM. No matter what, DO NOT SAY YES!!!!! It is a common scam going on. This # has called multiple times and I've now blocked them.  The caller will ask you a yes or no question and record your answer. They want you to say YES. They will then make attempts to open credit card accounts or loans over the phone. When the credit card/loan company have all the info they will typically ask something like "ok, before I continue with this application i need confirmation from you, Mr. Smith, that you are allowing me to process this loan......etc etc...".....the person pretending to be you will use the recording of your voice saying Yes and the application gets processed. When you later find out you have a loan or credit card you didn't apply for the company will have your voice saying yes so they are protected. Be careful!

There have been several telephone scams in which the caller tries to elicit a "yes" answer from the called person.  Those scams have been around for at least four years.

The good part is ... Snopes states there are NO verified reports of people actually getting charged solely because of their "yes" answer.
    http://www.snopes.com/can-you-hear-me-scam/

Do you have any PROOF people have lost money because of the supposed "say yes scam"?

    Interesting observation:
Several posters claim the "say yes" scam caused multiple people to suffer financial loss, but canNOT give us links to prove that contention, and cannot state how people lose money if they do not give card or bank or specific, critical ID information to the caller!

Want to learn about a REAL scam that has cost victims over $50 million dollars, yet has dozens of daily visitors to this site asking, "is this a scam?"  If so, click "A_Real_Scam", below:

    A_Real_Scam
Too many posters seem to be unaware of the truly dangerous IRS Scam.  The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) reports many victims who have collectively reported over $55 million in financial losses as a result of tax scams over the last three years.    That is a LOT more than the $0.00 loss so far verified for the "say yes" scam!  Want proof?  Read the info at this link:

You are right, female trolls should stay barefoot, sterile (we would never want them to reproduce), and under the bridge.
