Caller ID indicates "out of area". Called several times. Voicemail was a female voice asking for me by name but did not leave any identifying information or call-back number. Another site indicates this is a robocaller with "severe" recent activity. Most likely another scam or other annoyance. If it was a legitimate caller, it's likely they would have identified self by company name or left a message. Number blocked.

Received a call from 818 806 0397.  Asked for me by name and when I said "yes" they hung up.  Weird.

The number called me during the middle of work.  But the call left no messages at aall. So I blocked it...

I accidentally unblocked this number yesterday. Received another call from "out of area" this morning. Voicemail was a male voice asking "May I speak to Lyn?" It was definitely a call center because I could hear a different male voice in the background "Hello my name is William..." The caller then hung up without leaving any identifying information or reason for call.

No message. Allegedly, a call from Planned Parenthood.  Might be a spoofed call. Blocked.

This number called yesterday. ID: Sun Valley, CA. No message. Based on all the comments before this, looks like this scammer changes ID on a regular basis. It is now blocked. Thanks for all the intel.

11.29.18 @ 9:32 AM-- "Sun Valley CA" (818-806-0397)-- Caller hung up when call was picked up by answering machine; so most likely a SCAMMER using a spoofed name and number, since the ENTIRE town of Sun Valley would NOT be calling~ LOL!  Plus, a LEGITIMATE caller would have an APPROPRIATE name on the Caller ID, and would leave a message and a call back number.  We NEVER answer calls from names/numbers that we don't recognize, or from which we are not expecting a call.  Better safe, than sorry, since there are just TOO MANY SCAMMERS out there these days, especially during the holiday season!  If ANYONE wants a response from us, they MUST leave a message and a call back number...PERIOD!

Call received @ 11:10 EST   Caller ID:   Sun Valley  CA   Left voice message.  Female voice asked for me by first and last name.  Nothing more.

I'm having to get used to my new service blocking numbers like this one automatically.
It doesn't even leave a missed call entry on the phone - I had to look up on the Internet which numbers have been blocked from ringing here.
And this one is certainly a call to block. Appears to be someone looking for donations from you based on your history of past donations.

Caller ID noted: CALIFORNIA CALL _ unfamiliar area code _ not answered _ no message was left. Possibly a spoofed # according to other reports.

called and no one said anything when I picked up.  CID number gives generic message about "thank you for your past support" but does not identify who they are.   Indication of a scam.

Rec'd call from above number and did not answer. These clowns never give up; it's close to Christmas so I guess they keep trying to scam someone somewhere.....

Received a call from "The Met" ...which I immediately knew it was spam (why on earth the met is calling from California?) They seemed to have all my information including my address and membership number and asking me to renew my membership right now for immediate resources??? Hello??? Seriously?

They called at 11 on a Sat. morning on my business line and asked for someone named Whitney. There was a long pause between picking up and the person calling coming on the line, sure sign of a scam caller.
