Received a call from this number claiming to be Catnese & Wells Law Corp.  They don't speak English clear and they claim that I took a payday loan out with Insta Cash and refuse to pay it back.  No I have never taken a loan out with Insta Cash; yes I did apply for a payday loan on line, not with Insta Cash, but decided not to go through with it.  They claim I owe $8,000 and that the authorities are coming to get me on Friday so I can stand before a Judge and also I better have someone to bail me out because I commit fraud by giving out fake checks and I am going to pay for my crime.  This is crazy! I in turn looked up Catnese & Wells Law Corp and called them, come to find out these people are using their name, it is a SCAM.

I got this same call and they couldn't even pronounce my name, I told them that whas some BS, and if I owe that much money send me some information, and hung up.

I JUST hung up from one of these scamming [***]. lol. He said the same thing almost exactly. How do people fall for this especially from people that can barely speak English? lol

I also just received a call from these morons, they told me almost exactally the same thing, that I owe money I never received.  They called me something other than my name and when they said I owed money I told them thanks but Im not interested.  They called right back telling me that I was going to be picked up and I just hung up on them. They have been calling my phone all day.  How did they get my cell number is what Id like to know.   Hope nobody falls for their scam!!

They keep calling me as well. I have a freind who is an attorney and she caalled them back for me. At first they hung up on her so she kept calling back and they finally spoke to her but gave her a complete run around. These guys are total scam artists. Best thing to do is to keep calling them back over and over until they get sick of you.

818-851-7924 said i owe them money and they have all of my info, and they do because i had applied for a loan but never got one. They said I am to be arrested tomorrow and that Im going to be out of a job because of fraud. Most of the time I cant understand them due to the fact that they can barely speak English. They have me freaked and annoyed

I got a message on Monday (jun20) from a woman saying that this was the law office of whoever (couldn't understand) and that I OR my retained attorney needed to call her back as soon as possible or I would be arrested for non-payment of a cash advance. Ummm hold up! I haven't received a cash advance because if I had I probably would of had money to pay everything on time last month! So I don't owe anybody anything! So then a man calls yesterday (june21) and I talk to him. And he goes through this whole list of  things that I will be arrested for! Im lost because i dont know anything about a pay day loan...What do I do??????????????

I've been getting calls from these ' broken english " majors for months. They're funny . They say the same thing every time. I also love the fake names that they use. The best thing to do is ignore them. I think they're from the Phillipennes.

I have been receiving the same calls for months. I finally just give the phone to my 16 year old son. He does funny voices, makes fun of them, and pretends like he doesn't know what they are talking about. They actually tried to reason with him for an hour one day. Have you ever tried to reason with a teenager? Needless to say they have only called me once since then and that was 2 weeks ago.

I was called on my cell number and work number. He left a message on my cell phone. His stated his name was Tom Harrison.He did not give a company name. I spoke with him when he called my work number, I was threatened with being arrested at my home or workplace. This either Indian or Pakistani idiot also threatended to have my mother arrested. Where are they getting this information?

They are either Indian or Pakistani and they also threatended to have her mother arrested. I told her to get a rescue Whistle (VERY LOUD!); tell them to hang on so she can get her bank info; then blast their ears off and hang up!!...   bet they wont call back twice!!

I received a call from this same number and they wouldn't give me much information about the company. I asked the amount of the debt, the name of the company and for telephone numbers for them and the agency and they refused to give it to me. They requested to speak with my attorney and I told them that I myself am a paralegal- they wouldn't say anything else to me. So then I called back and asked them for the name of their company and they said Catanese & Wells, when I asked for the address they hung up on me..

Call back and ask for the name of the company and then google the actual law firm and call them. They will tell you that these people are from India and are using their name illegally. I hope that this helps!

I received a call from this number today.  They left a message on the answering machine at work stating that I owed several thousands of dollars and that I would be arrested on Friday.  This is very scary because they new all of my information.

I get a call from this number out my state the only reason why I called back is becuase of the message the guy left so when I call back the tell me I crime suspect for fraud and that if I was pay $952.00 today that I would be ok and that the warrant for arrest would be dropped but they said if I didnt pay the money that the police was coming to my house and take me away I was like are u serious and now they wont stop calling my phone so now Im sueing Im pissed this is crazy!!

I recieved a call today and yes with the same story, I kept calling them back and they kept hanging up on me. I immediate knew it was a scam. I asked them where will court be and they said somewhere in my state....really?

Receved a call from nne english speaking individuals about a payday loan I never recieved. I did apply but not with whatever company they are.I was threatened to be arrested as well at my job tomorrow and would have to go to court. I told them to send me documentation by mail if they have prrof money was entered into my account. They then said I would be notified by mail tomorrow. I told them any business would have notified other ways than calling out of the blue!
