Caller ID = PYX Health,  Live caller after short delay. Young, unaccented female voice (Tiffany??) who said she got my info from my health insurance company and wanted to talk to me about remote health care. She knew the correct insurance company and I quickly checked to see that PYX Health was a real company. But I clearly told her I was not interested in ANY remote health care or in ANYTHING she had to say and that I considered the call to be illegal sales. I think I hung up before she did.  I believe that this was a scam call.

I received a call this morning, lady caller, said she was calling from what sounded like PYX health and they were affiliated with my health insurance company (she knew the company name).  When I asked what the call was regarding she said she couldn't proceed without first identifying me, she wanted me to give her my birthdate and some other piece of information that I can't remember right now.  When I told her I didn't know who they are and didn't want to give her my information without knowing why she was calling she said she couldn't tell me without identifying me first due to HIPAA.  Nope, that did it, told her BYE and hung up.  She should know that telling me why she's calling wouldn't be a HIPAA violation, it would only be a violation if she had access to my personal health care information and disclosed it to a 3rd party without my permission.  You don't need to disclose specific health information to explain why you're calling.  After I got off the phone I googled PYX and it appears to be a mental health service in AZ that describes itself as a healthcare technology company focused on reducing loneliness through member engagement and SDOH screening tools.

she was talking fast and asked to verify my name and date of birth. Like a dummy I gave that info to her. BUT I didnt give her any other info. I hope I didnt f up by giving her my name and DOB.

There are scammers who try to steal an identify to use for Insurance Fraud, by collecting personal info. They call to try confirming info they acquire off the internet and info from data breach sellers.

Just rec'd same call from "Josie." The caller I.D. stated, "Healthcare." ? I let it roll to V-mail. In review, I immediately copy/pasted phone # & Googled & saw all the complaints.  I concur w/all of you. It's Bull Shitake! During a festive holiday time to catch people w/their hearts open. F that!
