Sent me a bank account alert by text, which was identical to my banks actual alerts, then tried to me into giving them more of my  personal info by phone call.   Absolutely do not answer anything from this number, it is 100 percent a fraudulent scam.

They sent a text from this phone number asking if I’d made a $452.22 purchase from Walmart. My bank uses only a five digit number when sending these alerts. The 818 number the. Proceeded to call me 10 times in a row. My bank calls once with a call back number if I don’t answer. This 818 number wouldn’t even leave a voicemail. Total fraud, do not answer.

Identical experience, even the amount charged at Walmart. Kept asking about different charges. Told him I would check with my bank and he got pushy, not wanting to let me off the phone. That was the biggest red flag. Finally hung up on him

Sent a text saying someone spent money from Walmart in Salt Lake City, Utah. Proceeded to call and pretend to be my bank's fraud prevention service. Tried to get me to verify the last 8 of my card number, expiration, and cvv. Once he asked for the CVV, I knew it was bogus. I told him no, and he got annoyed and hung up.

Called the real fraud prevention service to let them know about the scam. They said it definitely wasn't them and there were no fraudulent charges on my card. Went ahead and locked my card just in case.

This is a 100% scam.  Hang up on him immediately!  He will try to get you to download an app (Cash App) or something, enter your debit card number, and he'll try to get it from your bank account.  Hang up and call your bank as soon as you can and let them know what happened.

Called asking if I made a purchase at Walmart. Went through a list of purchases I DID make. Called my bank to ask if this was legitimate and my bank said YES!!!! he was in my actual account (I could see everything) got suspicious and transferred out my money before they could get anymore. Called the police and made a report. Called my bank and lit into them for telling me it was legit. Closed my account at that bank.

Your post is missing important details. What "everything" could you see that made you suspicious? Why did you think the call wasn't "legit" after your bank told you it  was? What did you report to the police?

I fell for it, new mom they called me at 10:30pm I was exhausted and worried that my card was  being fraudulent.. and I’m just stupid… the next day I got another text from my actual bank, being like did you approve this charge, and I was like you already cancelled this card last night… and the rep was like umm no mam. So I filed a report to get $$ back but now my back said since I aprrove it they can’t do anything about it. So I’m out 300$
