I too live in Michigan and received the text, but I googled it and found you guys so glad I didn't call it

just got the same message twice within the hour.  Whose the smarty trying to scam all us Michiganders whose economy suck.  Don't they know we have no money...  Damn it, I just got it again.

I received one last night and one just a few minutes ago, I live in Michigan as well.
Call your phone provider and make them aware of it.

I do not think it is possible, but with this technology you never know.
Also, next time look it up online before calling ;-) ..... this is a great way of finding out what is real and what is not. What you can also do is call your bank and ask them if they know anything about that. Plus always be suspeciouse about your bank texting you when the names don't match

I received a text from this call. I called it and put in the wrong zip code, 222-22-2222 social security, then they asked a 16 digit credit card number so I input 1234567891234567 and then they asked for your 3 digit number I said 123.. then they asked for my account number I said 22222.

Guess what they called back....I wonder was it because it was the wrong info.  LOL

I did the same thing at first. Then I called back and put all wrong info.. Mostly inputting 22222. They can't do anything with the zip code.

A little COMMON SENSE ADVICE

PHISHING EMAILS - VOICEMAIL MESSAGES AND TEXT MESSAGES

NEVER CALL THE NUMBER THAT IS PROVIDED - CALL YOUR BANK DIRECTLY WITH A KNOWN VALID NUMBER.  That is the only way to guarantee that you are dealing with THE REAL BANK and not some scammer.

You get the KNOWN valid number from statements,  back of credit cards and the banks website.

Received 3 text messages in the past hour to call this number.  Wed. 3/17, between 8:30 and 9:15am, don't know if they will keep trying or not.  From HomeBank.US.  I'm sure this is a scam, just wanting information to steal your identy and your bank account.

all lines on our plan recieved these unwanted texts around the same time.  definitely a scam.

I too live in Michigan and this definitely is a scam.  Also my wife got the same message on her phone.  Our plan is on T-Mobile.  Got a feeling some dumb Nigerian can't buy bread today and so he is trying to scam us to buy the bread market.

I got a call from this # 828 348 6847. Tried to call but just a voicemail. I'm from Michigan too!

It is more than likely a scam.

Keep in mind people, 828 is NOT a toll free prefix ( like 800 or 888 ).

It is the area code for western North Carolina and dialing that number can result in long distance charges.
