I recieved a phone call from these people saying they are taking me to court for a 500.00 dollar loan i never payed back. They said i received the money in November of 2010 and i NEVER received anything from these people. They claimed they were willing to settle outside of court if i just pay the money. I told them i was going to report them for fraud. I looked up the number and it was a cell phone. If this was a " real company" they would not be calling from cell phones.

Yeah, I just got a call from this number leaving a message on my phone, when I called him back, the guy didn't speak clear English, he said he was the legal dept, I just kept on saying, What? What? and told him he had the wrong number. Then he asked me what my name was and I was like, I am not going to tell you my name, give me your name, he said it and where he was calling from, but I couldn't make out what he said, because he didn't speak clear English but had an accent, so I asked him again, and I kept on saying What? What? cause we also had a bad connection, so I said this is the person you just called and left a message on my phone, you have the wrong number. Then he asked me what my phone number was and I told him so he could take my number off his list. Then he hung up.
By the way my phone is a brand new and I didn't even give out the phone number yet.

I suggest you tell him he has reached the Central Intelligence Agency and that his phone call is being recorded. Or act all dumb and clueless and keep on saying What? What? and then ask him questions, not the other way around. I think this guy was a little freaked out, and hung up.

If this guy calls me one more time at home or on the job- I am going to track him down and beat him- especially if I loose my job! The only loans I got is through Sallie Mae and thats the only loan I EVER plan on paying back! I hate stupid people- especially when they aren't even from this country so when they try to scam you you can't even understand them!

I had recieved numerous calls from 831-295-8472 and the name was jack cooper he kept saying there was a lawsuit being filed in my name and I have never taken out a loan and i couldn't even understand him, if there really was a lawsuit there would be paperwork sent to your house not numerous stupid calls. I finally had to get a new phone and told the people that answered the phone at my work to tell them I was fired.

I've been recieving these calls lately and they've been asking for my boyfriend leaving messages saying that he needs to call them back immediately or get his attorney on the phone before the summon a subpoena but I found it quite odd that the majority of eveyone who called and left a message had an indian accent and plus the number that they called wasn't a cell or land line but our magicjack number, so I decided to google the number and found this site.

thanks guys you all are real life savers

Those of you have not received the same calls from area codes all over the nation, get ready!  I know exactly where they got my name.  I stupidly requested a payday loan over the internet.  Anyone that has done so can attest to the hundreds, literally thousands, of e-mails offering you loans.  Somewhere in that huge network all my information has been picked up by what I want to think is a false company buying into the network.  Last three months or better they have made my life hell.  I have closed my old checking account and opened a new one.  I have disconnected my cell and went onto a plan with my daughter so that I had a new number.  I changed my work extension.  Today the first call in a couple of weeks has come in on my work phone. It is this number.  I have received 3 calls and two messages this morning alone.  I don't know what else to do. A particularly aggressive group called so many times, one right after another, that a friend of mine called them back.  Irritated them so much they threatened to kill her and her family.  They didn't know that it was not me. Did get the recording one time that it was a Magic Jack phone which makes sense why someone cannot stop them.  I have turned the previous numbers over to my daughter's boss, ex-FBI and he has passed them on.  When my supervisor is not as close I am going to answer the next time and tell them previous numbers have been turned into the FBI and I will be adding their number.

It can be scary. They can be threatening. Threats of jail.  Threats of showing up on your doorstep.  They repeat your social and your address.  A friend's brother is with the police department and says this is an escalating problem.

If it doesnt match with the firm they are fake. and told me to file a compliant with the better business burena. That was stupid of them and real lawyers wouldn't have done that. File a compliant. Call the number back block get there info like their id number look it up. But in this they are fake..

I keep getting the same phone call.  They have as recently as one minute ago called me for the 2nd time today within 9 minutes of the 1st call.  On the second attempt they finally left a message and it some guy with a thick Indian Accent.  I have gotten calls in the past from them as well saying that my name and social security number have been submitted to their legal department and that I should call them back or face prosecution.  They have called my place of employment both my line and the line of our payroll contact to get in touch with me, the only problem with that is I work for 20 lawyers and when I began reciting Fair Debt Collection Practices to him he proceeded to call me a b***h, C**t, told me that he was going to speak with my boss to be sure that I get fired etc.  I admit, I said a few choice things back to him but only after having filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office at the suggestion of on of the attorneys I work for. I also let him know that I knew he was a scammer and that is when he really became agitated and called the payroll contact whom has overheard everything and told him I had been fired.  They finally stopped calling her but still call me at work.  He claims his name is William Blake, yet I have never heard of an Indian person having such a name with such a strong accent.  I think I will be changing my phone number as well.  I have notices the calls have been greatly reduced just by placing my name on the National Do Not Call Registry, however, I do still get the calls and never from the same phone number.  But for some odd reason, today it is the same number.  I too have gotten the Magic Jack recording.

Contacted twice by this "company" stating they were from the legal department at CashNet USA. Woman stated that I defaulted on a loan. That's when I told her that I already spoke to CashNet USA and have determined that this is a scam, my bank account is frozen, my ss# has a hold on it, my credit has been frozen and finally that I've reported them to the Feds and to BBB. Woman then stated that I was wrong and that she can transfer me to her supervisor who will reassure me that they are correct. I told her that I will be telling her supervisor the same thing as I told her. She indicated they would send a formal collection notice in 2 days to my employer.
