Same as all of the above.  We cannot get caller ID on our phone (old rural line) so I bought a cheap answering machine. Because of this type of call we never answer our phone until we hear someone talk and know who they are. Otherwise we collect the message--if there is one (we get about 5 or 6 no message calls/day).  I then check the number on this or similar sites and that is the end of it.  Unfortunately we cannot block calls so this is the best we can do.  The whole point is, we just do not answer our phone any more--cheap evening entertainment listening to dumb messages.

Typical scam call. I'm honestly surprised the phone companies and/or the government with a world of technology cannot stop this crap.

They can't do anything about them because these telecriminals are spoofing numbers using computers and/or disposable cell phones, making them next to impossible to be traced. Also, and IF and until new laws are passed, the phone companies have no choice but to route the calls, because they are common carriers, meaning that they must allow everybody to use their services, unless the company is notified by law enforcement that the user is committing crimes.

Received this same message on phone.  I laughed out loud.  The text of the call is plain silly, but I can understand some folks becoming alarmed.  First, the agency is the Internal Revenue Service - not "Services" as the caller stated.  There were other amusing grammatical errors.   IF the IRS were to file an action against you, it would need to follow the proper federal court rules, or its suit would get tossed out by the Judge.  IRS attorneys are not going to blow a suit on a technicality.  Way oversimplifying, and  I won't go through every excruciating detail, but you would be formally served with a copy of the actual suit filed in the court.  You would never be asked to call a number to find out what the law suit was about.  AND since almost all of us are run-of-the-mill average taxpayers, IF the IRS were to file an action against you,  it would most likely be AFTER putting you through an audit(s) and those are performed either through the mail or in-person.

    I use this site regularly
I received a call from an "independent process server" saying he is going to serve me legal documents at my residence today 11/1 between 3-5 pm and if he is not able to reach me there he would serve me at my place of employment. He left this number 832-251-7353 to call back if I had any questions. When I tried to call back it was odd hold music an no one ever came to the phone. Now I'm reading these reviews. So I guess well see if I actually get served by this person who left the message.

Received a call from this number that said he was a process server and was going to serve my son (correct name) on 12/26 at his place or employment and/or home.  Then he said, you have been served/notified.  That is NOT how things are done.
