This is a scam. Unfortunately, there is virtually nothing you can do to stop it except file a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. These collectors move around too much and use fake addresses making it nearly impossible to serve a lawsuit on them. There is no crime in failing to pay a debt so long as you meant to pay it at the time you applied for it. Beg them to sue you.

This began as a real debt that you owed, however, it is now in the hands of a scum-sucking bottom-feeding collector. Such collectors are more than willing to violate state and federal collection laws meant to protect you from the kind of abuse you describe.

Demand information about the debt. They will not give it. Do not provide any of your banking information. Finally, beg them to sue you immediately because, if they do, you can sue them for the collection violations.

Are you saying this attorney called you about a debt?  I am wondering because her ads state that she is working on the good side for debtor's rights.

I got the same call this morning. And she said her name was Garcia   And told me the same thing she told ur mom. Yes, it is very upsetting. How the hell do they get our numbers.   They should be in jail.  Help us stop this calls.

Caller let message stating her name was GARCIA and to call back to speak with arbitrator. #832-446-7544 Case Number 670597.

They have also called other individuals in my family and harassed them at the same exact time they called my phone.

This Company or fake company needs to be prosecuted for their actions.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

They call me but won't say anything or leave a message, now have started harassing my father! This is also following my BK discharge 1/16/2016

They were extremely rude. The conversation ended with her yelling that I was a "c**t" and hanging up several times.

I received a call from this number and a cut off voicemail.  There was no return phone number, just a file number that was provided via an automated voice and a request that my, "Immediate assistance was required."

Received a phone call staying that my husband would be arrested tomorrow at 9 if he didn't pay 10,000 for bank fraud.

Even if you did owe money,  arrest will NOT happen.  That is a scare tactic a bottom feeder uses to scare you - and is ILLEGAL per the FDCPA.  Give your state attorney general a call.
