- ValerieCalled and hung up so I called back. Said they were Houston Financial and wanted to reduce my mortgage but I don't have a mortgage. Very thick accent and it is a scam call. Reminds me of the Sammy Araya ring of people who scammed people with fake mortgage reductions, kept the money and they lost their homes.

- jmkreger22Got same call, called back and got a message saying it was Steven from Houston Home Loan. No last name, I looked up Houston Home Loan and from what I can tell no Steven works there, pluss he had no NMLS number on his VM which is required if he was a legitimate loan officer, scam for sure
- Caller: Steven from Houston Home Loan
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Justin KregerThis is a scam, the caller says he is Steven from Houston Home Loan and asked if I pay a mortgage with a very strong accent. I am actually a licensed loan officer so this sounded very strange from the get go. No last name, no NMLS# disclosed, nothing other than Steven from Houston Home Loan wanting to know if I am paying a mortgage. I asked him for his NMLS number he said sure hold on, put me on hold then came back and gave me a 8 digit number 83252922, I am pretty certain NMLS numbers don't go any higher than 6 maybe 7, so I checked the federal registry and sure enough, fake number. Total Scammer
