This number tried to buy a car from me in Houston, TX, which I've been advertising online. Person texted me offering to pay asking price and without even looking at the car they offered to make a transaction over the paypal. I pushed back asking for them to look at the vehicle first and then make payment via cash or bank check. Person goes: well, I am a petroleum engineer and have been buying goods online using paypal for years and never had any problem....
Well, I sell my car for 10K and i know that petroleum engineer would not buy cheap crap like mine.

Anyway, this is a great example of a scam. I came across of similar case many times before. Scammers have access to al sorts of technology of breaking into other people's accounts and wire (steal) money from it into your account. And even worse, they make it look as you have a balance in your paypal account, but few days later it magically diappear.

Yap. He tried to get me to but, I insisted on face to face. "Cash only"
Watch out people this is the 2nd one on the same car I'm selling!

This Number tried to scam us through our Craigslist Ad!!  Beaware of out of the area buyers who dont really care about what they are buying and are "Fine with the asking price"

This is the second number that has done this to me this week. The other number in California  323-743-3490..They both wanted to buy my car from craiglist and willing to pay asking price without seeing the car.
And tell you they will add shipper fee to the amount but in the end they want you to pay for the shipper feee up front before releasing their money into you account it's a Scam.

Received text messages from this number wanting to purchase my vehicle at full price site unseen. Said it was a surprise for their cousin and asked for my home address. When you google this number is is repeatedly reported as a scam. Do NOT speak to people that want to buy something site unseen or insist on using PayPal to deposit your funds. Demand cash!

Person claiming to be "Bowen" sent text from 832-554-6829 located in Houston, Tx stating an interest in a vehicle listed on Craigslist in Southern California.  Message contained wording similar to that used by a Craigslist Scammer.

Same number just tried to pay me for a craigslist couch, sight unseen,  via my "paypal" account.  Another scam.  He's still at it.  Goes by the name of Ryan Robert (yeah right)

Same exact thing happened to us today - yes he is still at it. This time he said he was deployed for his reason not to be able to see the vehicle in person.

He just tried to buy an engagement ring from me but won't respond to my text asking how he plans to deliver cash in exchange for the ring.  Idiot.
