Insurance company checking up on me and went over my medicine.  Technician and pharmacist both very nice

Called for a medicine review.  Found out one of my medications was cheaper by mail.  They helped me set everything up.

Then why are you even here? Do you often look up known phone numbers?

I am a pharmacy technician with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield's Clinical Pharmacy Care Center. Our phone number 833-215-1137 has been showing as spam in some cases. It is a legitimate business of the health plans under the Anthem Blue Cross and Ingenio Rx umbrella. This department calls regarding annual medication reviews with our members.

Initially called me saying they were from Anthem wanting to speak to my husband. I told them he was in a nursing home (didn’t tell them which one). They then called his nursing home wanting to speak to him but got nurse who gave a message that they were calling from Medicare and wanted to know what coverage he had.  I called both Anthem & Medicare using numbers on card and neither had called him.

Caller ID is blocked. It just shows a check mark, space, then a minus sign. That there is one sign it's a scammer calling.

2, I've had numerous calls from different numbers all claiming to be the same when they are just not so. No one is calling from your insurance pharmacy to go over your medicines.  Do you get your medicines from them?  Is it your insurance directly?

Call your insurance company to verify if they did have someone call to go over your medicine list, it's safe to say your answer will be no.

This scam call to me wasn't even for me. First name was right, last name wrong.  They're desperate reaching out with any name hoping you answer & will give out personal information about your stuff.
