I received a text from this number claiming to be Emergency Coverage Corp.  Did not return the call, nor did I click the link they provided.

Scary how they knew what hospital I went to. Thought at first they might have more info on me, but if people are saying they're phishing for sso and dob, then they don't. Same message as everyone else with exact link with different numbers. Got a remind text 8 days later too.

My husband was rushed to the ER on Thursday morning at 1:00 am. I received a text today from this number stating that I had a bill. When I called the # it sounded suspicious. Was grateful when I typed in the phone number it was a scam!

Ok so this may actually be legit. If you're uncomfortable with tapping the link call them at 8889526772 or their site Team Health thbillpay dot com. I did owe a small amount. This is just the third party biller for physicians at hospitals. They were very helpful, native English speaking, and reassured me greatly. I'm a rather cautious person, but they gave me details of my real visit I never gave them. However they did not ask for ssn, but the site did ask for last 4 to verify.

Looked up the#, as I also received a text. This was odd as I too recently had an emergency medical situation. I did not click the web address. I have never given permission for Dr. to send bills to me by text. I expect all things to be mailed as I need to itemize my payments at the end of the year. Reporting as spam!

two texts from an unknown number stating I owe a medical bill.  Too many scam texts to take this seriously.  You think I owe a bill, then send me the bill.  I do not pay off of scam texts.

Two text messages saying the bill for emergency room physician was due and go to we site

Texted about a bill. Didn’t have a bill and never went to the ER to even have a bill to pay. They said they were Northwest Emergency PHYS. LLC

I have been getting text message from this number every week for over a month.  I did go to a hospital emergency back in early December 2019 and did pay the hospital bill by the end of January when I got the final bill after what insurance covered.  Has been 2 months past that when I started getting these text messages.  Two days ago I got a paper statement bill in the mail from Akron Billing Center and this bill is DUE tomorrow 4/14/2020!!  and states to make check payable and mail to Northwest Emerg Phys, LLC, PO Box 740021, Cincinnati, OH 45274-0021  hmmmmm

I got a text message saying my daughter's bill from ACS Primary Care Phys Southwest PA is due today. It also sent a link for me to click to view the bill. My daughter has never been to PA. I was wondering whether it was managing bills for physicians here but this is too strange. So I checked here. I am glad to find out it is a scam.

I just received a text from them that I owed a doctors office in PA. The text message had a link. I know not to click those. I'm deleting the text.

Received this text "We would like to remind you that there is an outstanding balance on your account with Emergency Professional Services, Inc. Click here to view: (link I'm not going to provide)."

I have family members that went to the dr, but don't recall giving permission to TEXT me. This number has never called me regarding any past due amounts. I don't click links or answer from unknown numbers . After reading the above reports, it seems funny to me that the same number is for multiple company names with different states in some of the names.

As to the one person who paid and all they asked for was the last 4 digits of their social...many legitimate company (banks, insurance, any utility) you deal with ask for the last 4 SS # for verification when you call them and to change passwords. If this is a scammer, now they have that ability to give that little piece of information to pose as you.

You do realize that giving them the last 4 is just as dangerous as handing out the whole number? Think how many legit places ask you for the last four of your social to confirm your ID (pretty much every account), now think about the fact that you just gave them the necessary info to access those same accounts.

I get a text every 8 days or so that my son's bill is due. He went to the ER not long before the first text. But I got a bill from the ER and paid everything. My insurance claim has nothing else due.
