I just got a text from this name and the name of the person mentioned in the text was Shannon Shapiro with a case number

Same here. Called the 800 number back and was told that this company was taking legal action against me for a loan that I supposedly took out from a company called EZ Money and that I owed over $2000. This was supposed to be in 2012. They said that they were sending documents to court and would proceed from there. I would have to appear in court before a judge. I called my attorney and emailed him the text message.

This is the text i got “ This is Shannon Shapiro reaching out to (name) in reference to pending case #POG2101206. If you have any questions, concerns or you're not sure why you are receiving this message. Please reach out to me directly in my office at 833-235-7786 and ask for Shannon. Reply Stop to opt out.

I got the same exact message and called. They had my entire name but once I pushed with questions they hung up.

Didn't mention a company name.....

It's a known scam, just trying to get money out of people.

These are payday loans that is a scam! Years ago I got a payday loan and paid it back in full  I’m still getting these messages even after 15 years! DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY!
