Had a text message: This is Margaret Wells from the Mediation Department. It is imperative that you contact my office at 833-293-8379. I called. The woman would not tell me what this was for - she said they would garnish my wages.

They are called united recovery solutions and they are a debt collector. Save text and voicemails for harassment.  If you request them to stop calling you they legally have to stop contact consumer rights 877 700-5790

This lady named Margaret Wells from United recovery solutions is contacting my ex in law's constantly to try to get ahold of me  Providing them my personal information. They also leave text messages

Received a text of the same above.  Block and no responding from me.

I received the same exact text message, but it’s under a family member.

Just received this text. "JEREMY, this is Margaret Wells from the Mediation Department. It is imperative that you contact my office at 833-293-8379." I'm getting close to my statue of limitations this year so they are pulling every trick... They are going to visit my employer which I'm self employed. Also they cannot summons you to court without being served paper work.

I received the same text  what is she about or is it a scam number

Not sure what parts of "Jeremy's" post has you tripped up, since he explained it pretty well that it is a debt collector.  Now the question you should be asking yourself is if you have an old debt that may have been bought by a shady debt collector, as this one seems to be. The term they often use is to claim they are from the "Mediation Department", but never giving an actual company name that department is from.

Have received the same calls as other post here. They've also contacted my son who's in the military looking for me. I don't answer these because its either a scam or an old debt collector.  They've also said their going to contact my work which is illegal. She identified her self as Margaret Wells.

all it says is mediation depratment no business name or anything

This woman calls me everyday and now calls my family in Florida. I called her cell phone no answer. I looked up the number someone posted it’s a scam

This woman has texted my ex-husbands new wife!!!!!!! Told her a used her as a reference!!!! Really?!?!

This person has texted my number looking for my daughter which has been deceased for 7 years and I know for a fact she had no debt because lawyer made sure , but I definitely don’t appreciate who ever this Scammer is to be even mentioning my daughter so I reported to BBB with the text ….

You reported them to the worthless, toothless, useless BBB instead of reporting them to actual Federal and State Agencies that have law enforcement powers?  Why?
