Received another call with same exact message (to call 833-304-1447), this time from 904-681-6033

Slammed call as did not call my cell just left garbled message on my voice mail about auto warranty scam expiring

My cell # is from the 217 area code. I rarely get SCAM calls on it (thank God) but when I do, 99% of the time it's the auto warranty SCAM. I know this because every time I call the spoofed number back, I get an automated message to press 1 to be removed (no other options) - until last Friday. That one I got a private individual for whom I apologized for disturbing. Fortunately he was laid back and nice about it and understood. So I get another warranty SCAM today and when I called back, this time the number was said to not be in service. However, for the first time I got a voice mail with it to call this 833 number to be removed. I'm past fed up with this crap and we must aggressively find out where these calls are originating. I suspect here in the U.S. since in the past I never got anyone with an Asian or Middle Eastern accent (as in the credit card interest rate SCAM) on these type of calls. If so, a class action suit is well in order and time in the big house for the abusers. But it's possible the calls may be coming from Canada and if so, then there's little we can do to stop them. Regardless, it is imperative these vermin be tracked down, locked up and the key tossed, especially if they are calling from the U.S. Any PI's out there with any such experience? If so, your country needs you.

They have been reported so much under their toll-free number that they are spoofing to 386-463-1913. "we're giving you a final courtesy call before we close out your file you can press one to speak with someone about possibly extending or reinstating your warranty coverage or press two to be put on our do not call list for call our 800 number at 833-304-1447." This number is disconnected so no point in even calling it. Turns out it is Allstate.

Same here: Called from a spoofed local number, for an expired warranty on a salvage vehicle that was sold for scrap several years ago.
Suspected phishing or scam call. These calls actually stopped for awhile, but now it looks as though they're back.

Fake extended car warranty scam. When I moved to a different state, I never changed my phone number. Now, whenever I receive a call from a number that is from the area code where I currently live, I know it is probably a legitimate call. When the call is from an area code in the where state I use to live, I know that 99.999% of the time it is a scam.
