Caller not identified but says they have documents for me - the accent of the caller is distinctive from an Indian call center

Called twice, caller ID showed "Unavailable".  Could hardly understand the woman, it sounded like she said: "This is an important message for Krsten Pricher ....at Brighton St. Apt. 4 we have documents being issued from_____ office please contact 833 570 1432 when calling you may use reference file number 11540351............"

Male voice asking to call for case number 11......... Called back, voice message for "Myles Anthony"

Call "restricted." Stated my address & name, something about documents, gave this # & case file. Male caller who sounded very threatening .

I got a call from and unavailable number and someone named Daniel said that someone would be delivering a legal document that needed to be signed for from nlc.

Person called me and family members asking for me and left a message saying I had a confirmation number to call this number. They gave this phone to call but called from a private number.

They have been calling me, calling my niece, my ex husband, my other family leaving message that they have document for me.  and they give out my addres

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them so that they can scare that person into paying extortion money.  They will usually also state information that would be illegal for a real debt collector to state to a third party such as that you are being sued, that you owe money to someone, etc. They threaten that if you do not call them back, they will contact your HR department and tell them that you are a deadbeat who does not pay their bills.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off the internet.

The fake process server/location finder extortion attempt usually consists of the following:

They mention that they have received a Fax document or some sort of complaint and that there is a pending legal matter or action about to filed against you to create the sense of urgency.  They tell you that they are a “process server” and cannot give you the particulars of the case since the file is sealed. This is simply ruse to get you to call another number (often with a made-up case number) where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer).  They threaten to serve you at home or at work.  They tell you that if they serve you at work then they will need a supervisor, security, or HR person there as a witness, hoping that will cause you to panic over the alleged embarrassment of being served at work.  They also tell you that you will need two forms of ID.  None of which is true.  Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them.  Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.  They certainly are not going to pass up a paycheck by telling you that you can avoid being served, they are not going to give you an extra day or even a few hours to get a “stop order”.  Court documents are time sensitive and must be served within a certain amount of time.  Remember that you can always call the local courthouse to see if there really is a lawsuit that has been filed against you.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

This number keeps calling me and giving me a case number saying that there is a case that is coming through a court processor and that they are going to give out all of these files to all places of employment, They are giving out my full name and address on these voicemails not knowing for sure if the number is actually mine. When I called them back to give them a piece of of my mind, they said that the company calling and the company that is doing the "collecting" are 2 different companies. But they are calling about a Reflex credit card, which I have never even heard of and I certainly don't have. So I told them that I would be filing a complaint with the State attorney generals office as well as the FTC. And that it is actually illegal to call and leave that type of information on someones voicemail, not knowing if that is in fact their number, they can get fined as well as the company. I have my phone set to where you can't call me on a private number, it will actually send you straight to voicemail. SO I actually have these recordings saved. This I am sure is scam, but to actually have peoples full names and addresses and just be giving them out to any number is ridiculous.

A man, who did not sound Indian, called and left a message for a woman who has been giving out my phone number for a year as her own, Ashley Williams, to call them back because they had legal documents to serve at 3175 Pace Station Rd (no city name provided) or at her work address of 2194 Clifton Rd (no city name provided).  The message said she had to call them back by the end of the day or they would file the documents. They left the phone number 1-833-570-1432 and a reference number of 1154638. I'm so tired of getting messages from this woman's doctor's office and creditors & was so mad that I called the number back. Since I was driving I wasn't able to copy the reference number down & told the man that answered that I did not have the number as I was driving (my husband dialed the number and put the phone on speaker so I could talk). I told him he had the wrong number for Ashley, I did not know her, didn't want to know her, and frankly, I was pissed off because she was using my damn number and that if he had legal documents, to go ahead and file them as she would not be returning the call. He asked if I knew some man, I don't recall the name, and I said NO, I don't know him either. I said, "file your damn papers" but do not call this number back for Ashley Williams! He said, "ok, I'll note that to the account". I said, "you do that!" and hung up. So if this is a scam, I guess I saved the woman who's been giving out my number for a year as her own, some trouble with a freaking scammer. You're welcome Ashley!

They say they are taking me to.court

Same thing as everyone else. But I got into it with the guy because he kept saying he needed my address to send me legal papers I told him to send everything to my attorney which I do have.  I"m not given any information out.
Can we asked them to stop calling me?

This person called my fiance's brother like 6 months ago. I never returned any calls. Now they are calling my fiance and his other brother. They have never called my phone. I also check my cameras often and have never seen anyone come to my house. How do i get them to stop?

Tell your friends & family to ignore them & hang up. Think of these callers as the vermin that may infest a neighbors house. It might bother you to know they're there, but there's not much you can do about it.

Yesterday (10/27/2020) my former landlord (going on 3 yrs) received a call that someone from this company was trying to deliver something to me and wanted to know if my old address was the correct one to send it to. Not knowing who they were or what they wanted, he took down a message with a reference number and the name of the company NLC. Today (10/28/2020) they called my phone from an unavailable number. I answered as I'm expecting a phone call from a doctor for an appointment. The lady stated her name and that she was looking for me; already thinking it's a scam I didn't identify myself as who she was looking for. She stated she had legal documents that needed to be delivered to me, I asked from where, she couldn't tell me even though the papers were right in front of her. She asked if the old address was where they should be sent to, if the last four of my social was xxxx. Told her I wasn't giving her any information being that I don't feel this whole situation was real. I asked where she was calling from, she stated Ontario. I asked what legal documents would she (me) need from a whole other country, never mind just another state. I got the reference number, her name, and the name of their company (a 3rd party currier service) and told her our lawyer will be calling them tomorrow. Surprisingly she was ok with. I will be calling my lawyer tomorrow to see what he feels about the whole thing.

I fail to see why you'd want to get a lawyer to look in to this. You talked to a SCAMMER! It couldn't be more clear.
 There aren't any "legal documents". If there were, a quick stop at your local Clerk of Courts offices will disclose them. There won't be a thing.
 These parasites are using intimidation as a tool to defraud you. It's the oldest trick in the "Bogus/Invalid Debt Collectors Handbook". Don't be a victim.

This number called my entire family looking for me. They gave 2 different addresses & used my married name from 20+ years ago. They say they have documents they are trying to get to me & can't find me. Caller has very thick accent & request that I call 833-570-1416 & reference file #11576193

Said to call 833.570.1432 it was hard to understand a lady's voice had papers at the clerks office I called the number and sent to Myles Anthony voice mail

My lawyer called, a Scammer with similar phone number..833 is a unknown Area code.Hung up on my Attorney and told him, he was not an Attorney..lmao!
