This is Ally Financial...the call if you are a couple of days late. It is legit.

I got a call from this number this morning.  After pressing 1 to verify myself, I was asked to enter the last 4 numbers of my social security number.  Sorry, I don't do that over the phone no matter if the number is legit or not.

This number says it’s Ally Financial, then asks you to verify your name and give the last 4 of your social. I hung up before giving the information, and you should too! It’s definitely NOT Ally Financial, which you can verify by calling Ally’s real customer service number. They aren’t even open during the times the calls are being placed. This is a scam, and a really smooth one since they are calling real Ally customers.

Who is calling from this number, they've called me everyday at least 3 times a day for the last 2 weeks. Im sick of it. Even though I blocked the number, they still get through and left one voicemail.

According to posts before yours and several other sites, this is Ally Financial attempting to collect a debt.  They are a completely digital finance company with no physical branches.  That alone would make me nervous.  Anyway, they have a horrible reputation.  Here are some reviews and the BBB site:

My payment came due the 20th.  Today is the 23rd.  I swear I can’t wait to have these idiots paid off. They even called while my husband was in the hospital.  He was diagnosed with a brain disease and they knew it and still called five or six times a day.  Grrrrr. I despise them.

Received call, no caller ID only id said it was from the United States.  Did not answer, no message.

Ally Financial calling for late payment

Calling asking for last 4 digits of social security number; didn't give a company name.

I called the number back.  This is Ally Financial with a reminder that they have not received my car payment.

I received a text message that welcomed me to Ally Financial.  It said if I had questions to call 8336692847.  I have no business with Ally Financial.

This no came up and they asked for my name and I identified my name and then they asked for the last four digits of my social security and that is when I hung up.  They said it was allied or ally finanacial.
