Got a recording frm another number to call 833-710-0218 because my name and SS# are under investigation

Scam! The Social Security Administration doesn't initiate contact by phone but by US mail.

I have gotten this call last 2 days. The same message as others stated.

Same message as everyone else. And it’s funny how it’s coming from a number in my area code but to call back a 833 number. These people make me sick

I have blocked this number. I still get voicemail telling me my name and social security number have come up and under investigation. Yeah right. I hope nobody falls for this scam.

Same here. I’m not calling them back, but this is the third one of these calls I’ve gotten. I blocked them all but the change the ghost number. Beware!

I'm retired so I have the time to call back with hours of false information for them.  Let the lies begin.  See, I can do the world some good

Called daily . I blocked the number but the message still goes thru . Really annoying.

Got a message for my brother to call the number

Same exact message and callback number, but no mention of who’s calling or where they’re calling from.

Same as all the rest. A real woman stating that my name and SS# has come up in an investigation in their office. What's odd is that previously I received two different messages stating that they had "started proceedings to legally block" my SS#. and that I'd better press 1 now, right now... ..."You didn't press 1"... ... ..."buh bye." and the recording ends. Legally block? LOL Who does this work on? But the first recording was in a female computer voice and the second was in a male computer voice both stating the exact same thing.

Received same Social Security message as described by others.

It also came from my area code...And they never mention my name or my SSN..They just refer to me as "you"
