I think "Maria" is just being a smart-a$$ because of our previous posts warning people not to trust a caller to be who they claim. People who get legitimate calls about their delivery wouldn't be looking up the number in the first place,  they would know because they are expecting a delivery.

This call was from Samsung, regarding delivery of a stove I purchased yesterday from Home Depot.  For those who question why I looked it up, I was sitting in front of the computer when the call came in, so I googled the number while it was still ringing. I google every number I don't recognize on my cell phone before I answer.  They did leave a message stating to please text back, which I did and they confirmed the order. If you have recently ordered an appliance from Samsung, its legit, if not, then who knows.

There is no valid reason anyone would need to post all the details of re-assurance about a legitimate call, since this is not a review site. People who get legitimate calls don't usually go looking up the number and since we established this is about a delivery, we already know they leave messages to ensure you know its legitimate.
So why would you even make an "its legit"  post and convince people about what?

i just got the call, and it looks like a phony number, ID'd as "United States", not as Samsung. I just bought a refrigerator yesterday from Home Depot.  That why!

As I pointed out in another thread: information found here is not guaranteed to be accurate since scammers spoof legitimate numbers all the time. What may be a legitimate call for you isn't necessarily a legitimate call for someone else.
The smart thing to do is to call a known number for whomever they're claiming to be and find out if and why they called you.
Besides, if it really was Samsung/Home Depot calling, why didn't they leave a message?

yep, my washer just croaked, was at home depot last night, bought a new samsung washer top loader, great sale going on now too!  This is Samsung calling to verify your details for your order and confirm delivery.

Looks like lots of lying shills trying to make this scam sound legitimate.
