I received a phone call on my answering machine from 833-821-0235.  A man identified himself as Brian Williams representing R &S & Associates.  He said I needed to contact him by a certain date and it was very important & that it would be in my best interest to contact him. No doubt about money. Sorry dude, I don’t owe any past due bills.  Your phone number is on the FBI’s radar now. And your voice has been recorded. You made the mistake of calling the wrong number. Didn’t even have my name correctly. Left you a message since you, a coward, couldn’t pick up the phone and relayed the message that you are under investigation now. Get a real job, loser!

Called said I was going to be arrested at my place of business due to fraudulent social security ending in a number I’ve never heard of. Not mine! I had an attorney call and let them know that they have an incorrect number, etc and not to call again.

received a vm stating that he was a claims processor (not a company name) in SLC John Styles saying that they had a summons for me to appear in court and would appear at my place of business for conspiracy to commit selling or using a forged instrument?? Weird - he had the last 4 of my SSN and a case #.

Recieved voicemail from a private number. He stated his name was John styles and that he was a legal server and that he would serve me on my job or at my home on March 25 . He said it was for an old cash net loan and he had my social and my address. He also called my sister and left message from a private number. Husband called back and he stated that I did owe 8000 but now owe 3000. Husband cursed him out and the guy on the other end started getting loud and belligerent as well. Not very professional but I think it's a scam. I will be changing my bank account. They probably bought the debt from cashnet and are using scare tactics to get peoples money.

This guy called me and said his name was Peter Kauffman and said I owe Credit One (which is my credit card name) $1,085 on my card & if I don’t pay it soon enough that they will sue me $3,000 in court.. he gave me a court case, he said he’s also a detective. But my latest bill for Credit One is only $500. What a scam artist!

Got a voice message on work phone from Peter Kauffman. When I called the # back he person answered as Peter Kauffman, but when I started to question who he was calling about he said it was their process server calling. He was looking for a Cari Fain or Scott (not sure on spelling). Nobody has ever worked here with that name. His voice message said something about filing suit and a process server coming to place of employment and arresting them, etc. No other info was given in the message. He said he would let the process server know and take the number off the list. At the end of the call he said it was probably just an employment verification call. Total scam!

Just got a call from a guy named “Peter Kauffman” — he said I had fraudulent activity with my SSN and I would be taking by “uniform people” by a certain date if I failed to make a statement. He said he was a special investigator. Why am I hearing this by phone and not by mail?! Plus, my credit score looks great to me so I don’t see any fraudulent activity there! Trying to call him back to see if he has more info on my supposed case. They knew the last four of my ssn and the street name of my address but that was about it. These scammers are getting a bit more scary now!
