I had the same experience with the caller.  I actually received a bill for my glasses purchased from Walmart, that I paid for in full before they would order the glasses!  Now I've received 2 or more phone calls from this number, as well as from another, but similar, number.  So glad others have responded and informed readers of this issue.  Now I know for sure this is a scam!  thank you Kat Mellott!

It is a scam!!! they told me i owed for glasses but I never got glasses from there, only an eye exam. they wanted me to verify my personal information but I kept telling them to tell me what they had on file but they refused. i then told her i guess neither one of us was gonna get [***] because i wasnt talking and she should take the rest of the day and reflect on how to better the scam because it wasnt working this time and to have a blessed day!

Scammer pretending to be Sam's Club Optical Center and claiming a balance was due.

I received a call today from ‪1 833-859-0555‬. When I called it it was from Walmart Sam's Vision business Center. They asked my phone number and I did give it along with my name. But fishy then began. We need your birthday and address to verify it is you. When I said no, they are to send me a letter. Watch out folks! I have to answer calls as I am an on call nurse. I do buy glasses from our local Walmart. So now ... not again. And I will report it to the authorities.

This is a scam. She called asking me what my sons DOB is to know if I'm legit? First of all if it's from Walmart, they wouldn't do some random call. They will call because that's the info they have. They will be straight to the point on why they are calling.  I told her to email me and then she said she'll give me a pin number when I wasn't even done telling her my email address lol.

Got a message on my phone from "Sam's Club/Walmart Optical" 833-859-0555. Janette left an invoice reference number and rattled it off so fast I had to listen a few times. I ordered glasses almost a year ago, so I called the Walmart I ordered them from. The gal laughed and said they are paid for almost immediately (after ordering)... Disregarding the call even though I'm curious as to what they really want from me (SSN, first-born, bank account info??) LOL!!

Received call this morning - wasn't flagged as 'Spam Risk' but since I didn't recognize the number I let it go to machine. Message stated Sharon from Walmart Optical re: my daughter - this is a personal business matter and some reference number spoken too fast and unclear - something like 'WMP8...1..5'.  I'm grateful to everyone leaving their experiences - while I thought it seemed odd I almost believed it.

I got a paper bill from "Walmart Health & Wellness" with this phone number on it. Bill is elaborate and looks legit at first glance with details about the purchase, but there is no actual connection to Walmart on it. Online billpay is walmart.mysecurebill.com (not walmart.com). Phone number is not the Walmart 1-800 number.
Bill is for $25 on glasses bought 9 months ago. Feels shady as heck. The "bill" says you can "Pay at your vision or optical center" so go and do that instead of sending these random people your credit card info.

When you purchase something like that you pay up front.  The insurance company pays the rest and you owe nothing extra so why should someone pay anything more?

Don't fall for the [***] of this scammer.. I received the same scam call several times. They leave a voicemail I never answer. I block the call.

I got a second paper bill, just like I did 3 months ago. Still looks like a scam so I will continue not paying it.

I've been getting calls from this number as well. Most of them when I answer there is nobody on the line. When I get a person they claim to be with walmart and want additional information from me to discuss a balance due. I've also received one letter in the mail about it. It looks legitimate but I havn't gotten around to taking it to the optical dept to inquire yet. The bill is pretty small $30 or $40 bucks. I don't know if a scam would spend all that time and effort on such a small amount.

I didn’t  receive a call, but this phone number was the contact number on the “bill”. The bill stated I owed $22.80 for a copay  they never collected a year ago. It looked suspicious because the cost of the glasses on the bill was wrong compared to my receipt, the account number was wrong, the payments received was wrong. I am glad I looked up the phone number and confirmed it was a scam!!

This # keeps calling and leaving messages re: my minor son's "account".  First, we paid in full the day of his appointment and DIDN'T go through insurance, so there was no balance.  We picked up his glasses a week later: no balance.  Went in to get a copy of his script (which they charged me $5 to get; paid on the spot, no balance) and no mention of this.  I don't know who these people are or where they got our info, but they won't see a dime from me.  Blocked the wanna be scammers and simply moving on.

Believe this is a scam and breach of computer system on Walmarts end needs to be investigated

First, thank you for having this site. This is my second call from these thieves. I don't like the word "Scam" as it sounds less aggressive. I too am concerned about how quickly they knew I had been serviced at a Walmart optical store. I also went in to my local store and was told that I had no balance pending. So frustrating. It makes me anxious for people that might be vulnerable, either due to age, mental level, or just crazy busy and not keeping track. Come on Walmart/Sam's Club find and close the leak as it's been going on for at least 3 years now!
