My phone rang once then I was notified I received a voicemail. The voicemail was a man with an Indian accent saying I qualified to receive a 50% discount on my DirectTV package and to call back at the number that appeared on my caller ID.

This is impossible since I have never subscribed to DirectTV or any other satellite service in my life. I haven't even had cable TV for several years. They were probably trying to scam me, so I will be adding this number to the block list.

ATT DirectTV scam again. Since I had blocked it already, it went straight to voicemail and again, it was a man with an Indian accent offering me a 50% discount plus upgrades. Never had DirectTV in my life. Second time they called, I wish they'd leave me alone.

I found some stories online about it. They basically offer you a special discount on your existing DirectTV account if you send them a payment in gift cards. I'm sure there are other variants besides this but it's still a scam. I just hang up and block the number.

Same as above. It was a huge give away to me as he said please call the number that you see on your screen to get in touch with us.

One ring.. after reading these comments I will block this number..

Ditto with the direct TV scam. Indian or Pakistani man. "He" has called on other numbers, all of which I either blocked or saved with scam callers IDs. I typically do not answer my phone unless I recognize the caller.
