- Hmm| 3 repliesThis phone number was in an email that addressed me by my maiden name and referenced a student loan. Referred to themselves as “Student Loan Debt Department” which sounds totally generic. Also warned that it was the last attempt to reach me, even though this is the first email like this that I’ve seen, and that the case is set to close, which doesn’t sound bad if you owe student loan money, which I don’t.
- Caller: Student Loan Debt Department
- Call type: Debt collector
- Who calledI received an email about student loan forgiveness from Beatrice Vaghy with this number to call. The same "Student Loan Debt Department" saying they've tried several times to get hold of me. Not calling the number.
- JenniferNice try, scammers. “Gwenevere Wassil” from the student loan department and it’s my “last chance before they will close my case” since I’m now “eligible for loan forgiveness.” Except the email was sent at 1 AM and from a random Hotmail account. Oh, and except that I am debt-free, suckers. #tryharder

- VijiI also received a spam message via e-mail, which contained the above number as a contact.
I suspect it was an attempt at the Customer Service Scam, in order to gain access to accounts and/or computer.
