- Me TooSame here, came as "800 service" CID, within 24 hours of the previous post.
Called a DNC-listed private number. Blocked but unfortunately 800 numbers, if they're a poll or politician, get a free pass to invade privacy. Maybe soon a saner government will take on domestic crime like spam/robocalls.- Caller: "800 service"
- Prissie| 4 repliesI received a call and was asked the last four numbers of my SS number. I asked why it was needed. Would not tell me. When I asked again, I was told they could not divulge reason for the call until I supplied the info. I will give them nothing.
- Caller: Unkown

Going to block it and ignore.- Caller: FRS & Associates

- Anon| 1 replyI called this number back, there was a recorded message to stay online for an agent. I'm assuming it's a collection agency?
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to AnonBy reading the other posts you would have had an answer to that question.
- ErnieI get a call from this number every other day at 9:11 every time. I refuse to answer.
- Ray| 3 repliesI receive calls from 833-919-0709 or 933-595-1058 just about every day. These calls started, Thursday, July 8, 2021. I've received a call as early as 8:44am Saturday morning. The name of the company that appears on the caller id is Fin-Rec Svc. I'm not sure why this annoying company is constantly calling me. I've only had my currently phone number for approximately 3 1/2 months.
- Caller: Fin-Rec Svc
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Rist replies to Ray| 1 replyUnfortunately, Debt Collectors are allowed to call as early as 8:30AM.
- AndyScam ... and rude!
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Dessi replies to RayI get calls from those same two numbers as well. The calls are always back to back. First the 0709 number, then the 1058 number a few minutes later.
- Ray replies to RistThey are not debt collectors!
- SallyBerry| 1 replyFRS - Financial Recovery Services is a repeat NUISANCE caller; they always hang up after my usual business greeting. On three separate occasions I have called them back and verified that they are not trying to reach this business organization. Then, when I ask that they not call anymore, they say that they can not remove my number. They readily admit to hanging up on people. When I ask for the address of FRS, they say they can not "divulge" that information. The foolishness continues if I ask to speak to a supervisor - they leave me hanging on hold for over 5 minutes and no one ever comes to the line. It is a simple request from one legitimate business to....another?
- Caller: FRS Financial Recovery Services

- BigA replies to SallyBerryTook me 1/2 second to find them on the internet.
- BigA| 1 replyYou will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices: https://800notes.com/faq/attorney-general
Also file a complaint with the Minnesota Dept. of Commerce:http://mn.gov/commerce/consumers/file-a-complaint/index.jsp - SallyBerry replies to BigAYou're quick! I had always promised myself if I had more time I would follow up with the "not me" certified letters. Guess what? I have got the time.
