- AmandaScam callers!!! They called trying to tell me I was being sued by a state I never lived in or had any dept in!! They want you you to give personal information and when you ask why you are being sued you get yelled at!!! Obviously not an actual professional law firm
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Kim| 4 repliesI got a blocked call from a hispanic male named Javier (Hah-vee-air). He said he is a process officer for LOS Outsourcing Service (Serving Division) and he was trying to get in touch with my sister regarding serving papers for a civil complaint. He had her name, current address and old landline phone number. He called my cell number and addressed me by name. They claimed they had tried to serve her papers and nobody was at home to sign for them. I just took a message and gave my sister the info. The phone number he gave me was 833-937-3306. He also gave me a reference number. My sister said it's total BS and they are just trying to get her personal info.

- BigA replies to Kim| 2 repliesNo they don't want "personal info". I'm not sure why everyone thinks that personal info is worth so much. They want money. You see when you get money you can spend it immediately. Personal info, well I don't know anyone that would take that in trade and even if they did it wouldn't be in the same amount as the money these people would be asking for.
- Kim replies to BigA| 1 replyMoney is always the end-game. Maybe they want your info too. Who knows? They might ask for your personal info to make it seem legit. They might squeeze you for money and also sell your info (incl. DOB, SS#) if you're dumb enough to give it to them. People have had lines of credit opened up in the their name without their knowledge. Identity theft. Unless you work for them, you can't really know what they're up to... except making money of course. Wait... DO YOU work for them??? 😲
- Gunnar replies to KimNo Kim, BigA is a highly respected Regular here & has been for many years. The point that's being made here is that personal Info. can be found, and purchased, for practically nothing. You're correct in stating that I.D. Theft is rampant, but Frauds & Scammers don't need to resort to 'phone calls to accomplish that. The only personal Info. that 'Phone Scammers would be interested in is going to be Card Numbers, Acct. Numbers & Routing Numbers.
DOB's, SSN's, Addresses, etc. for just about everyone on the Planet are as close as your Computer or your Smartphone. If you know where to look. Scammers know where to look.
Gunnar - Chyna replies to KimI got exactly the same call from exactly the same name (Javier) and left exaclty the same message.
Thank you for posting this kind of messages so people are aware of scum bags like this so called JAVER.
