I received a text with a code from this number.  I did not request a code.  I called the number and there was a message from a roofing company.

This happened to me to. Now what do I do?

Got texts from 833-951-0142 about Google verification and gave me the code. Also got phone calls from a Chad E Mccain in Washington DC 202-455-888 immediately after those texts were sent.

Rang me but I didnt answer, I just want to know why he is ringing me.

Received a text from 22000 with a Google verification code that, like everyone else here, had not been requested. Immediately after, got a text from the 833 number with the same code.  I plan to ignore it for now & will be using another device to change passwords on the odd chance that my phone has been compromised.

Do not trust this number. I received a text from another number 720-522-8208 and they claimed they had my lost cat. They asked me to send them the code they sent me to verify that I was real before they would call me or send me a pic of my cat. The code they sent me came from this number 833-951-0142. They obviously do not have my cat and are just a scammer.

I tried to recover a google account. First got 22000 with recovery code number i typed incorrectly went to check code # then the phone number 1 833 951 0142 pops up with the same security code number ..  I stopped DIDNT enter #.

Interesting thing I found today. The google account temporary passwords that came in were from a type of short code. When I deleted  the short code message from my phone the same google temporary passwords immediately arrived under this phone number instead of the short code.
