It may be legit, b/c I do have a credit union, but the automated system does not acknowledge who they are..  They want me to give "partial" info to ID myself..  I don't trust them since they didn't immediately identify themselves from a number I can independently verify is truthful.

Claimed to be from Hughes Federal Credit Union, who I do have an account with.  However, when I called back, it didn't give a company name and said they couldn't identify my phone number and I needed to enter it.  That's when I hung up.  My payments to them are on auto-pay and never late so I can't imagine it's the real company.

I got a call from this number this morning and googled it right away. The automated voicemail claimed to be from IQ Credit Union But this number is not listed on their site. Apparently they called me last month too.

I got the scam call today from this phone number 833-977-0543 saying it was from the Nutmeg credit union.  I did not call them back as I googled it and confirmed it's a scam.

I didn't get a call from this number, but it was left as a callback number. Original call was from 833-976-0552. Voicemail message said it was my credit union bank and I should call automated services at this 0543 number immediately.

I thought it was likely a scam because there were no details given and no business would ask you to call back without telling you what the need, who to ask for, or what the issue is. So now thanks to these comments, I feel a lot better about deleting the message as spam.

Received a call and the same voicemail as others have posted except it claims to be from my credit union, Ent. I googled the number and found that it had no associations with my credit union. I get calls pretty frequently from this number, probably twice a month. I have even reported it to my credit union to be investigated. It’s weird that they know the credit union we currently bank with and I am sure there are many that could easily fall for this. Hopefully this gets handled soon to prevent future victims.

It's a scam, do not answer. They claimed that they're from my local union bank just like others and when you call back, they want you to enter your phone # for more details. Original call back # is 833-976-0552.

Do not answer or give ur info to them. It's a scam they have basic info that u have a credit union and have ur first and last name so at some point info go leaked. Not hard but they want more jnfo... if it was ur credit union they would call u from a number that is listed on their webpage or email u from a secure email through ur account online or u would get a text saying to call them back to a number on ur card or on website without a link so u have to go log in to normal form of log in so it's not linked to a fake one... Best way is to call number u know and ask if they tried to contact u and if not report the number / numbers to them.

They constantly call leave message always cut off in beginning starts with credit union only, and to call this number listed above. I do have acct with credit union, but they don't list their name, only listing credit union, therefore I know it's a total scam! Plus, I have excellent online services with my credit union and if I had issues I'd know. Secondly, when in past we were attempted to be robbed they immediately called us at home, their number was obviously on caller id as well as their name. I had been robbed at least 3 times, all times they were stopped, and this gave me explanation and experience in how such things are handled. I'm going to report this to the ftc to start federal investigation into these scammers! Pathetic!

Apparently multiple Credit Unions are using the same notification service. I found this one from Teachers Federal Credit Union in a web search:
    Quote:
I'm receiving communications from an outside number regarding a past due loan. Is this legitimate?
Teachers has partnered with a third-party company to assist in communicating with members when their accounts become five days past due. The goal of this outreach is to remind members of upcoming payments and help them avoid late fees. The phone numbers this company will be using include:

    833-976-0552
    833-977-0543
    833-977-0565
    833-977-0566
And any texts will come from 77376.

Another Credit Union with similar information:
    https://www.popafcu.org/resources/resources/SMS-TextMessages

While it is a genuine notification number, scammers often impersonate financial companies and spoof legitimate numbers. It is always a safe bet to contact your Credit Union from a number you know or is published on their website and ask them.

Read the informative post about this number by MikeHuntleton (second above yours).
Then (since the Commonwealth One site does not mention this service), call your Credit Union at a known, trusted number (from their website or a recent balance statement) and inquire with them as to why you were called and what may be wrong.
