Got a robocall from this number about an hour ago that started roughly along the lines of "This is card member services.  This is your final courtesy call.  We have sent numerous notices to your house..." at which point it switched from a threatening cell phone company collection call to a 'debt management services' advertisement.  I tried placing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but I was unable to without a legitimate company name.

Just got a call from this number (5/31/11 at 4:30pm) and there was some scary official sounding message saying "warning! this is your last notification regarding your credit card.  This call is about your interest rate on your credit card and the financial stimulus"  then when I pressed "1" to speak to a rep, some lady rudely hung up on me when I told her that I don't have a credit card.  I didn't get to even ask her to take my name off the list...and when I called back...busy tone.

Scam number

I have received 2 calls from this number.  The first was a male telling me that they could lower my percentage rate.  Then he asked how much I owed, and I said 'nothing", he promptly hung up.  The second call was "empty".  If they use an automatic dialer, that is why the "dead" call--there is no one on their end to answer.

Received call on my cell phone.  Guess they're taking advantage of cell phone numbers being released today - even though my number is on the DNC list.  From card services - something about last chance to lower interest rate.  They've also called my home line before - same recorded message.  Reported to Do Not Call registry,

These guys just called me, too.  I filed a complaint with the do not call registry.

I played along with them telling them I had three credit cards, 1 with a balance of $35,000.00, 1 with a 26,000.00 balance and the third with a $17,000.00 balance. I told them yes I would like to get it cleared up/lowered. I told them that this sounds like a great idea, especially since I'm unemployed, then I asked the caller where do I sign up. They don't call back any more.

call about credit card rate reductions.  i am on the don not call list. am sick of all the calls.
