- Sharon| 5 repliesI was checking the phone number as got a letter from supposedly Medicare, eHealth which states that little or nothing can be paid for insurance for doctor visits, hospital stays, prescription drugs, dental care, eyeglasses and contacts, AND mental-health care. HOWEVER, at the bottom of the letter, the entity claims to be non-government operated. SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME seeking to see if you qualify for a Medicare special election period & whether you qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. The letter is signed: To your health: Andrew Shea, Vice President IT FURTHER STATES AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF LETTER ON SECOND PAGE THAT E-HEALTH IS A TYPE OF MEDICARE ADVANTAGE SPECIAL NEEDS PLAN, ETC.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BigA replies to Sharon| 2 repliesYes, they make it seem like the letter actually came from Medicare, but it did not. I believe this type of marketing is illegal per Medicare rules and regulations as well.
- Sharon replies to BigA| 1 replyHere's Medicare.com 's site which claims to have an approval rating from the BBB as A+ under the name of E-health. I certainly would not risk it. https://medicare.com/ Here's another internet site reference e-health: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1761894/

- SusanI too got a letter from Medicare.com. It’s printed in real light ink so hard to read. Just another scam.

- Pamela replies to Sharon| 1 replyThis doesn't seem like a scam because the plans it guides you to are legit health insurance companies. They're agents or middlemen if you should need them.
- BigA replies to PamelaYes, who get paid to be those "middlemen" and are using deceitful tactics to get clients. Sorry, but in my world anyone who has to lie and deceit people to get clients is a scam (scammer). Using the name "Medicare.com" is deceitful. Many people, including myself, at first glance would think that the letter or call actually came from Medicare which it did not. Defending these crooks make you look like a shill or possibly a troll looking to get fed (shroll?)
