They called me from a fake company asking me to pay my overdue phone bills

It's a fake number calling me to pay overdue fees that I did not have. DO NOT FALL they are hackers.

Scammers trying to pull a fast one -

I was called being told that my last months electrical bill hadn't gone through. This supposedly "Martin" also mentioned that a truck was on the way in the next 15min to shut off the power. Saying that I would be without power for 3 day unless I called said number. Now living in Arizona with the current triple digits weather there was no way 3 days without AC were gonna fly. Called APS to verify as well as let them know about the situation; which they also confirmed my suspicion. Word of advice if you get a suspicios/threating call, like "your power will be shut off I'm the next 15min; it never hurts to call your company to be certain.

This person , "kevin martinez" called and told my elderly mom her light was about to get cut off.  He asked for the last bill payments, account #, address. He said they'd disconnect the light for the weekend until monday so they could figure out who was taking those payments. I took the phone n told him i have receipts from con ed  confirming payment and thanking for the payment. He said with a down payment they would leave the lights on n reimburse the money later on. I hung up on him called con ed and was told the account was in good standing..this was a scam probably the same ppl that come door to door trying to see your bill to get you to change electric companies

These heartless people prying on the elderly and families threatening to cut off their light posing as Con Edison. What is wrong with them!!!!  Do not bother to take calls from 844-204-8216 saying they are from con Edison and only speak Spanish because the english speaking crew left for the day.
