Your yahoo accout has been compromised and generating viruses on net. Please call on this number immediately to avoid serious implications. 844-204-8544

Previously I received calls from (212) 650-7149 telling me that my computer was sending them "warning" signals.  I told them I pay for McAfee for that reason.  Now I just got a text on my cell as follows, "Your yahoo account XXXXXXXXX has been compromised and generating viruses on network. Please call on this number immediately to avoid serious implications. 844-204-8544 (toll free)."  I believe it's a scam personally, but any feedback would be appreciated.

Got the same message on text: "Your yahoo account XXXXXXXXX has been compromised and generating viruses on network. Please call on this number immediately to avoid serious implications. 844-204-8544 (toll free)."  I think it's a scam too. My yahoo account gets junk anyway, so I kindly texted them "to shut down my account" if it's such an issue. I got a robo-text back which reads: "Thanks for the message. Configure your number's SMS URL to change this message. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg & Data rates may apply." Of course, I replied "STOP"

Got the same type of message as Sid. I tried to all the toll free number, but it goes to voicemail. I didn't bother leaving a message. Was just curious what type of scam they might be trying.
