- Call type: Debt collector
- Irritated| 4 repliesBoulder Outreach Solutions: Hospital bill collectors.
They say they're not bill collectors, but use the same techniques.
My son evidently has a past due hospital bill and gave them my number! They worry me to death! I block them and they changed numbers. I called them to tell them to stop bothering me and... Yep, no answer! A recording says to leave a message!!! Oh yea, I left a message!!! Oh boy, did I lave a message!!!!!- Caller: Boulder Outreach Solutions

- RUBY replies to Debbie| 5 repliesI work for Bolder Outreach Solutions, and we do indeed, assist individual's that have no medical insurance. We are a free service, and have nothing to do with any type of bill collection. So, the next time they give you a call? Please answer your telephone. As a Patient Advocate, I have helped individuals obtain medical assistance, and have alleviated medical billing stressors that many of my clients have.
- Ruby replies to Irritated| 3 repliesWe are not bills collectors. We assist individuals in obtaining public assistance to pay their medical bills. So please, do answer your phones. I have helped individuals save thousands of dollars on their medical bills. We are ADVOCATES for the patients, not bill collectors.
- Jay replies to JakeReceived a recorded message to call that number for medical financial assistance. Website claims "Bolder Outreach Solutions" will provide assistance in applying for Medicaid, SSI, or other Gov't. Aid for uninsured or under-insured.
- SouthernGuy| 5 repliesGot the same recorded message that others have stated already. Many have said they are a hospital bill collector. If so, this is stupid. I paid my hospital bill in full the same day I was discharged with a 20% discount by doing so. Some type of rip off. The person which said they worked for this company in one of the comments is either delusional or just plain out lying.

Web site sort of indicates they are something other than a debt collector and lists them in Maryland: http://bolderoutreach.com/
Yet this woman’s LinkedIn page says she works in Florida: https://www.linkedin.com/in/melissa-lochman-40b09b57
Some of these LinkedIn pages list other locations as well: https://www.linkedin.com/title/patient-advocate-at-bolder-outreach-solutions
This seems to indicate that they are a third party billing service: http://www.ppscompliance.com/tag/bolder-billing-services/
As does this one which seems to indicate they are a debt collector: http://bolderanesthesia.com/bolder-healthcare ... olio-companies/
The BBB has no page on them.
I also cannot find a state registration anywhere for this company which would preclude them from legally conducting business.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

If you sincerely represent the company, can I take a minute to tell you and your corporate network that your web presence appears to be very suspect? You have NO local Better Business bureau membership, no record of anything other than using a VERY large number of free sites to advertise your open positions (e.g., Craig's list and other sites) that are not normally associated with job-seeking opportunities. I also can find no sites that talk about what you are doing, (outside of your own corporate site that is designed to make money from assisting medical care companies to obtain revenue, which is most likely the reason everyone here is not thrilled with your services) other than sites such as this one which record suspect business and scammers. I will be calling the Cleveland Clinic to find out if you're actually a true partner of their company, or if you are using the good name of an honorable institution in order to obtain my information. Your robo-call was unintelligible, even though I listened to it several times, I was unable to discern the name of the company. It wasn't until you used the U.S. Postal service and sent a letter, (yet again using the name of the Cleveland Clinic), that I had the opportunity to connect the robo-call to the appeal for information from your company.
I intend to make my findings public on this site once I have contacted the Better Business bureau in Cleveland and the Cleveland Clinic to ensure that you truly represent what you state in your letter. Until then, this site and the great people who are looking into companies that try to use dishonest means to steal from decent people will continue to do everything to try to inform each of us who rely on it. Keep up the awesome work everyone! We'll get to the bottom of this soon!
Mrs. M. - Slim replies to Mrs. M.>> This is a message to all of this company's personnel who are responding to this website. <<
That is a rather generic statement.
Are you referring to Boulder Outreach Solutions and 800notes, and/or are you going to paste that longwinded "expose" on various sites (so you omitted actual names)?
May I remind you that WE did not call you, and your caller probably does not read posts here. - kimberly replies to RUBY| 2 repliesI sure need help with my medical care how do I apply
- CelticDragon replies to kimberlyYou're trusting someone on a phone number look up site that is shilling his company. Do it properly and do your own research instead of trusting this guy
- dr. tonya lovejust send $1 every month BEFORE the bills due date and youll only have to deal with bill collector middle men like this. Miss the date or are late 1 time and youll get sued. Medical bill shananigans.

- AnonymousReceived a call from this number at work, several times. I answer it and get a recording saying to call this number, with an extension number and personal ID number; if I have insurance to verify it with them. I finally called and asked for the extension. The person on the other end said they could help me. I explained that they are calling a business, we provide insurance to our employees, and since they didn't ask for a specific individual, nor could they tell me who they were calling, to please remove our number. They said they would and it would take 48-72 hours to remove it. Fine. Well, it's been over 72 hours, and I received another call at work. I again called the number and reiterated what I told the first person. She said she'd remove our number from their list. I told her if I receive any further calls from them, I would report them to the proper authorities and hung up.

- TiggermanewMy daughter received a call from this number and the robotic thing talked really fast and told her to call this number and give them this reference number. How was she supposed to remember both of those numbers? Do they think she walks around carrying pen and paper with her at all times!
