Caller ID read TOLL FREE CALL.  It was a computer generated voice telling me that MicroSoft had expired my Windows license and the Windows service on my computer had been stopped.  And I was to call 844-240-2048 to renew my MicroSoft Windows License.  This is such an obvious criminal scam it barely needs any thought to see through the criminal scam.

Just another phishing scam.  Here is today's call coming from 844-240-2048 with a computer generated voice. "Your Microsoft Windows license has expired. To renew this license with Microsoft Corporation please call this number as soon as possible

That license DOES NOT EXPIRE.

They called on the 4July. An obvious scam. Microsoft expired.

Same as others....Your Microsoft Windows license has expired.  Comes up on my caller id as 800 service.

Same as others. Call came in as I was using Windows on my laptop. LOL

I ignored answering my phone since only the number came up on my CID.  Usually even the spam "toll-free" numbers come up showing "Toll Free" or "United States".  Message is the same as everyone has posted here, and is the exact same message left on my phone on March 26th of this year but using the 855-666-1778 spoofed number.

I just received a call from this number. During the middle of the work day. Something about my Microsoft License is going to expire. Please call this number to renew. Deleted and blocked. Leave me alone.

Just a new twist on the ransomware scam, but this time, it's a robocall with a woman's voice with an American accent.  Another difference is that the caller indicates that their Microsloth license has expired and the the call recipient is to call them.  Obviously total BS.

Hilarious call by a computer generated voice telling me the Microsoft license key on my computer has expired and I need to call the number back to renew...

VM (female) said that my MS Windows license had expired and to call that number right away.
