Do not know who is making the call but the message that was left says they work for CRA and push 1 to talk with someone or 9 to disconnect. I just deleted the message. They have called my home four times today.

Someone left the message from 844 240 3116 claiming he was from CRA. I deleted the message.

Complete scam, they wanted you to make a deposit to pay for any outstanding CRA claim and to do so immediately. They provided an account number for you to make a deposit. The TD account is legit, however it was not CRA. It was Basil Richard (not sure if this is a fake name, but it was on the name on the account), TD account number 10292 6495192  004. TD may be putting a freeze on the account for fraudulent activities. Reported to police and they were appreciative of the account number.

Just had a similar call. Hung up. Claimed to be CRTC starting legal proceedings against me

Just received a call from 1-844-240-3116 claiming to be CRA and action will be taken if not called them back in 24 hours.
Call went directly to my voice mail.

CRA calling claiming I owed money and it had to be paid immediately. Hung up.

Two calls from this number today, one live, one recorded.  "There will be a debt collector coming to your home within 24 hours. Press 1 to speak with a representitive" --> the call was cut off.

Automated call from "CRA" stating that they were going to start legal proceedings against me and within 24 hours my assets would be frozen and someone would be coming to my home to start collection proceedings. Obviously a scam - will report to appropriate authorities.

This is not a cra number. If you call back it will give you two options and before you select an option it will strat ringing then a person with an Asian accent will ask you for your phone number. I told him I won't give it to him because he is a crook so he hang up!

Got a call from 1-844-240-3116 claiming to be the CRA, telling me I was owing for 2012 income tax. They would freeze all accounts if not payed, would send a lawyer to my house. Reported to the police.

It seems that they are going through the phone book for Mississauga numbers.  I have had 2 calls (recordings - very poorly done) saying the same thing about CRA debts.  I am going to report it.

Had 2 computerized voice messages left on the phone claiming to be the CRA and threatening to seize assets and send someone to the house. When I tried to return the call the line was constantly busy...when i called the next day the guy asked for the phone number...pretty strange in the days of call display...would think CRA could afford that. When I gave it to him (only because I wanted the calls to stop) he asked if I was my spouse's name. When I told him no he said to have him give a call. It was obvious the call was coming from a very busy call centre. I called him on the scam and told him that I didn't believe who he claimed to be. He said that didn't matter. When I said that if there were any legitimate concerns he could send us a letter and we will proceed from there...he hung up...total scam

It was a lady telling me that someone filed a law suit on me and that she was gonna go to my work of employment then to my house. I called back but it kept ringing.

this is a total scam    I just finished talking to them if they call again and you answer ask them to send you a letter so you can proceed from there.....guaranteed they will hang up

I came home to this msg on my machine. Checked here and will delete it. I will also post about it on Facebook to inform my friends.

recieved a phone call from this number when i pressed 1 to talk to someone i was disconnected. called bell and was told that this is a total scam. too bad some people have all this time on there hands to do things like this.they should go out and find a real job instead of trying to scam people. LOOSERS

I  called it back I said to the guy it was b I'll [***] he said to me I will be arrested and shot then he hung up
