Had popups on my computer from Microsoft describing security risks and displayed #. Talked to a guy named Jim with an Indian accent. Took over my computer and showed me evidence of hackers using my computer for illegal activities. Asked for $595 for protection.

Don't ever let anyone take over your computer unless you are having problems and you call them and know who you are talking to (such as Best Buy Geek Squad, etc.).

Got a pop up on my screen while I was creating a word document.  I called the number and there was no business announcement or greetings. After about 15 or 20 seconds a guy with an Indian accent was on the phone.  I was a bit suspicious so I asked where I was calling he said Microsoft.  I was still skeptical especially when he asked if he could access my computer, I told him no, hung up and disconnect my compute.
