I need to know if it's scam

Got a call from an Unknown number who left a message in reference to a complaint filed against me.  Said I need to call "the Furman Control 844-240-9774" to discuss so a decision isn't made without my consent.  I did not call them back.  Sounds like a typical scare tactic phishing call.  Anybody else get one of these?

Same here. Also in the beginning she said the message is intended for some guy's name. The rest of the message is the same, asking to call back at  844-240-9774 with a case number they gave. Figured it's like some kind of phishing...

Someone has filed a complaint against my daughter to call this number and reference file #!

Received call on my cell that came from a private number (blocked). The message left was from 'Janine' referring to a complaint filed against me that was forwarded to her office & she left this (844) area code number & a file number 18550-01 to reference. Returned call & of course 'Janine' answered on the first ring & she was from 'Corporate Answering Service' & asked for my file number, when I stated I didn't get it from the message she then forwarded my call to another who then said she needed my birthday & the last 4 numbers of my social to let me know what it was the complaint about. I refused & she became irritated, she the told me that when I would provide the information, she would then discuss the matter.

Received a blocked call from "Document Delivery Services" telling me they had documents to deliver. He gave the 844# to call. I called and they tried to strong arm me into paying for an old credit card debt that 1) Never had the credit limit she claimed; and 2) Had already been paid and settled years ago. We argued as she kept insisting this was a valid debt, and I kept explaining it was not. I also told her that I had visited our Clerk of Court's site and that nothing was filed, and she became irritated and continued to argue that it was a valid debt. I told her to go ahead and serve me then. She hung up. All in all - my opinion is that this is absolutely a scam.

Same as above, wanted DOB and last 4 of SSN, said it was from Pearson and associates, gave bogus address of Pierce and Associates
1180 N Town Center Drive Los Vegas, NV 89144 -  This address comes back to a rent an office place - http://www.regus.com/office-space/united-stat ... ns-at-summerlin     --- Said I owed a debt from over 10 years ago, I said it wasn't a valid debt as my identity was stolen, they got hostile at that point.   I called the company that said I owed them money, they have no record of me ever having a debt there.  Somehow this company is related to allied recovery.  It looks like a SCAM to me.  Phone number was 844-240-9774 which the lady who answered says she answers phones for over 500 different businesses.

Got a call from an Angela, she left a message telling me to call 844-240-9774, complaint filed against me. This is the second time I have gotten this. The first time I was stupid and gave them my banking info and it was drained the second I let them know that I knew it was a scam. This time I just called them back and told them I think that they had the wrong number. I told them I had just bought this phone and had no clue as to who they were looking for. Next thing I know, they asked me my name, I gave a fake name, "oh well our records shows that you also have a case here" I am sure you do. I hung up and blocked the number.

They called my sister and gave her a case number to deliver to me.I thought it was odd because I've had my number for a while and they never called me.i blocked number and called it.they said it was from an answering service.

Got 'Call Restricted" on cell phone twice from Jen Matthews at 844-240-9774. I let call go to voicemail and had a message saying someone had filed a complaint against me and they gave me a case number. I have not called them back.

Received a call today with a reference # saying " a complaint was filed against " me but it was my married name from 30 years ago.  844-240-9774. Stated I need to call them back or the office would continue on without my consent. sounds like everybody else's calls. oh and no caller ID.Go figure. SCAM I am sure

On July 13th, got a call from "not listed", so I let it go to voicemail.  The recording from the crook Jen Matthews with the usual B.S. about a complaint has been filed with her office (which is probably the desk next to the scammer themselves) gave me an 855 number with a case number...I did not and will not call back.

Jen is a crook and should be in jail.

Total, 100%, scam.  Don't give the thugs a penny.
