got a call from 844-503-0553. Didnt answer it cuz 844 area code covers all of North America and doesnt allow you to see exactly where the call is coming from. A scammer's heaven. It left a voiceamil saying "your account is elegible for a 50% discount, call 844-242-7253 to take advantage of getting ripped off and screwed over". But what account is it? I need to know! Oh woe is me! Damn you, ScamCo LLC!!

I received a VM that said they were calling from AT&T DirecTV to let me know that my account qualifies for a 50% discount. This looks and smells like a scam/telemarketer so ignore this number if you receive a call or message. Ironically, I had just switched to AT&T a week ago for cell/internet/TV - so you'd think a 50% would've been mentioned at the time. I don't understand how groups like this are permitted to take advantage of the general public.

I got this message on my office phone.  I called ATT to verify it was a scam call, and it was.  How in the world these scammers got my office phone number is a mystery to me considering how our phones are set up at work.
