- MelisaThis is the second call I have gotten from them this year. I had to close my bank account due to the amount of personal infromation that they had. I have also been in contact with my local sheriffs department and have been advise that when they call to ask them to contact the detective at my local sheriffs office. I did that today. Wonder if they will call again.

- Shorty74| 1 replyCalled 4 days in a row. Left a voicemail every time stating they were from National Arbitration Forum and gave a reference number. If this is a legit number why doesn't it show up on their website and I have nothing in writing via mail, etc?! Compete scam!

- maria| 5 repliesI received this call for one of my employees. The caller identified himself as "Investigator Lee Hoffman" and stated that he was notifying my employee that he was going to sow up with she sheriffs between noon and 7, to have 2 pieces of ID(one with photo) and a supervisor present. I offered my employee help with what ever personal problems she had. She swore she owed nothing to nobody and requested for him to bring proof of the debt with he came with the sheriffs. At which time the calls stopped.
- BigA replies to maria| 4 repliesThis is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money by scaring people into thinking they will be sued, arrested, wage garnished, driver's license revoked, etc. You and your employee(s) should go here to read up on your rights when this happens: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Everything that that person did was against the law. - stephanie replies to daveWhat was the guys name? I got a call from a process server telling me to call them.
- stephanie replies to Shorty74What happened after they gave you all the info? How do they have all the info
- jbarker replies to BigA| 3 repliesThanks for the advice I have now been served and have a court date in which I verified through the county and will be facing bad check charges for the check on a closed account (was over drafted I didn't close it ) so thank you for your horrible advice once again
- Slim replies to jbarkerFirst:
There IS a difference between passing a bad check, and using a postdated check for collateral for a payday loan.
Which "offense" did you commit?
Second:
BigA is suggesting supposed debtors read their rights before paying, when the only notification of debt is a phone call.
What is wrong with that?
Third:
If you really received a summons and court date, you should be able to give us the information at the top of the summons, since it is now "public information".
Give us the court name and location, the name of the judge, the plaintiff's attorney's name and Bar number, and the name of the company or person that is suing you, the date you are supposed to appear, and possibly a docket number.
Can you do that, to prove your statement, or did I ask for too much information?
Well, then, just give us the name and address of the court, and the plaintiff's name. You do not have to tell us your name. That should not be difficult at all. Otherwise, we will have strong evidence you were NOT served, and are fibbing to us, and are probably a shill for the phone number under discussion.
I betcha you can't give us the requested information. You didn't even give the physical and web address of the company that uses this phone number, so we could check their validity.
Do not bother to return and argue these points, unless you can provide the data I requested.
. - BigA replies to jbarkerHow did I know that you would not come back and post the requested information. Now you have just proven yourself to be a liar.
- BettyGetting calls from this same number, a man claiming to be "Investigator Lee Hoffman" . He called my aunt, my job, and a friend of mine, saying that "I'll be served with a summons or a warrant tomorrow". I didn't call the number back...the fact that he's calling everyone but me in order to harass me is a big red flag in my book.

- BrendaThey have been leaving messages on my phone for months now. However, they are now leaving a different message than before.
When they first started calling, they were saying they were from National Forum Arbitration. However, the real National Arbitration Forum put a scam alert on their website confirming that they are not debt collectors and that if anyone received a call claiming to be them, report them to your local authorities.
I guess this fraud of a company realized that they were exposed, so the changed up the name that they were using (at least in my case) and now leaving a total different message. At first the message was about serving me papers and getting me locked. Now they're posing as my bank saying they're calling about a recent transaction if mines hoping that that'll prompt me to respond to them. Just another scare tactic of theirs.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PROPLE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION. DONT BELIEVE THE THREATS. THEY HAVE BROKEN SO MANY CONSUMER LAWS THAT THEY'LL EVENTUALLY BE CAUGHT.- Call type: Debt collector
- Brenda replies to jbarkerLIAR!!!!!!! You are for sure from this company. Your dirty little tricks are not helping you. You just exposed your scam of a company. I have no doubt in my mind that you work for this sleazeball company!!!! No one is going to jail or being served papers but you better believe that all of you guys will be served and put in jail for breaking the law!!!!
