Scammers and were going to prosecute asap!

My hubby just got the same call say if we didn't pat 230.00 today we would go to court  and the guy was a [***] he kept yelling at me and my husband

Then when we called back some guy named Robert pick up

Received the same call from a Michael Walker, that said I need to call this number, which I did, will not give any information on the business, just that you owe money.  Tried to get information on who was calling but will not give out, threatened to call family and I said great, call them once and you are done.  They are only allowed to call family or friends once especially if they tell them do not call me again.

Received two calls from a man that identified his name as Richard Price & that he received papers to serve me & to make myself available as if they did not hear from me, he would be at my house to serve me with papers.  When I called the number, a lady answered & said Claims Dept.  I inquired what company was dhe with, & she said Claims.  I told her I did not know her & shr responded, "I don't know you".  I hung up & will be reporting this to the Federal Trade Commission & Authorities.

This is (one of many) criminal extortion scams that have been going on for years. Many are operating overseas and out of the reach of US law enforcement, while others are operating within the confines of prison cells here in the US, using contraband cell phones. Others are using VOIP. Either way, they are able to disguise their identities and locations, making them next to impossible to prosecute. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting victims' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

From what I understand, they have been scamming people for years.. Someone needs to put a stop to this. They go by the name American Credit Resolution.
