Message states that all of our assets will be frozen within 24 hours and a collection agency will visit if we don't call this number.

I had the same call this afternoon and returned the call as per the message left for me... the "operator" at the other end was quite rude and threatening- told me to call back tomorrow am 9:00 and ask for Dennis Stein in the CRA Ottawa office?  I know this is a scam but is still unsettling!!

Received 2 calls within  2 days claiming the same they will freeze all assets within 24 if i do not respond. First of all please know this is a SCAM and the CRA is well aware of this, when i called the CRA they stated a couple of very import facts do not give ANY information to caller  because HELLO the government knows all of your information the government does NOT call you, They will send you between 10-15 letters if you owe monies after this fact if the government did call (they probably wouldn't because the Otis is for you to call the number on the LETTER the government provides) they would not in anyway threaten you or be belligerent and they cannot freeze your bank accounts or put a lean against your home just because you owe the government money,They would offer a payment plan option.I was sick to my stomach when i received my call i do my taxes every year and couldn't sleep, unfortunately so many people get scared and give all of their personal info to these scum bags.I was advised to just hang up.The numbers that called my home and left a messages are 1-844-240-3114 and 1-844-258-4031
Once again lots of people need to be aware. The CRA gave me this number 1-888-495-8501 to call and report , if we all report these scum bags hopefully we can stop the innocent people of Fraud theft. The government gets anywhere from 10-25 per customer service employee a day about this Scam.
Also just an FYI CRA is only open 9-5 so if you call back the numbers provided  they clearly are not  government employees. Hopes this help.

just received a call from these guys.. same threat they will freeze and seize assets from unpaid taxes from CRA.  scam.. didn't bother to call back to find out when none of the numbers they use are real CRA numbers.

Received a automated call from "CRA" stating that there is a lien on your property for back taxes and to can 1-844-258-4031.....sounded like a call center in the back ground......hung up and called the actual CRA to find out that this is a scam....so I called the scammers back and said that I was from the RCMP and that this call is being traced they hung up....my turn to have fun!!!

- SCAM - (1-844-258-4031) - for sure do not give any information. If they ask tell them it should be on record already !! . I returned the call  and when told they should have ANY requested details on record this guy "Raymond Scott giving his ID#079421 "  was extremely irritated and downright rude and tried to be very intimidating - raising his voice,  practically yelling. I then hung up to research . Report these to CRA.  - and on another note I smiled to hear a friend mine returned a call and blew a whistle in the guys ear when he got really rude,  guess he won't be calling there again......

He said his badge was 15190 his name is tony foster and gave me claim number to the case will freeze all assets and  4 criminally charges laid better get criminal lawyer unless I pay within 45 min of this call

They said they were from CRA and that they were putting lien on my assets  and freezing my bank accounts if I do not call them. I do not owe any money to CRA

These guys have been calling the home phone now for four days , because we have not picked up .All calls went to the answering machine. Nasty guys. Why cant the telephone people track who owns the number.

Tony Foster , 15190 was extremely irritated , rude and tried to be very intimidating August 20, 2015 with me;...same threat they will freeze and seize assets from unpaid taxes from CRA. I said that I do not own any money and he did not let me talk ... screaming and yelling.... first he scared me .. after I  controlled myself.. I really would like to cross path with this basted and show him ....

This is a total SCAM... I called the CRA to report this guy... He doesn't work for them.  SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM.... DO NOT PAY!!!!!!!!!!

Received a recorded cal from "CRA"  this morning  so I called back 844-258-4031. I  was on the line with "Mike Jones" he had me getting sued, charges laid, need a criminal lawyer; said everything was frozen because I was audited and didn't pay taxes and they deemed I did this willfully. Then he said  I was going to be  arrested.  That was the clincher...I have a number of children at home.  So that is what he used to intimidate me, I was so , so very scared.  Even though I was upset and crying  too many things didn't seem right.  The two things that stood out as wrong was  the fact that I couldn't go to the Government Service Agency and pay and that  I was to tell absolutely  no one .  I told him I had no cell phone at the moment and my car was not running so I would have to walk.  He did not want me to hang up but I had to to go and walk down to the bank.  Then I received a call from the "RCMP" saying that I was reported to them by the "CRA" .  I told him that I thought it was a scam but then played along with the 'officer' who was telling me to call Mike and tell him I will do what I had arranged and that I was to speak 'nicely' to him.  During this time I went online and found this thread and then I  called the police and reported it.  The fellow said it was a good thing I didn't have a car or cell phone today...and indeed I am very thankful I didn't or  I might just have been out a lot of money.  I am still very upset, wondering if I gave him my address  or not...everything is playing over and over in my mind and I am pretty sure I will be apprehensive for a few days to come ; I feel just ill.

Received a automated call from "CRA" stating that there is a lien on your property for back taxes and to call 1-844-258-4031, exactly the same automated coicemail as from the number 4165119393 a few hours earlier

We received a couple of recorded call from CRA stating that they were putting lien on my assets  and freezing my bank accounts if I do not call them. I tried to contact the number that was displayed on our phone 416-511-9393 but the number is not working. We were asked to call 1-844-258-4031to discuss the problem but my husband told me that it was a SCAM because we don't owe anything from CRA, and if we do, the CRA will have to contact us by mail. I'm glad I checked the number online if it is legitimate and I found every ones post.

Sure this is another scam.... I got two calls in one day.  Anyone know who this is. Should this go to the police?
